1. Gatts is a good guy. Seven months ago Gatts gave me a pearl to Celestial Network back when there were about 7 members. Gatts is, from my viewpoint, a very respectable, trustworthy, and helpful person. I know that he would never consciously steal millions of gil. He just put himself into a bad position.

2. From what i have read, it was a stupid idea to invest millions of gil in guilding. If you all decided on this plan, then you will probably all have to take a hit for it. Gatts lv 70 tanner skill is almost worthless now. However, I think that you still owe them something Gatts. They invested gil in you believeing you would stay with them for the long haul. Mabye your new HNM LS will put up some price, or at least they should. Also, athough it will put you in debt, you gotta pay back some of that gil. Probably not all of it, but compromise for a few million.

3. FFXI is a waste of time. If you spend 100, 000 hours levelling to 70, it's all wasted the day you delete your character and quit the game. Don't get so worked up about levelling and gil, because those items are worthless in the real world. Enjoy FFXI.

Believe me, i deleted a character (Puhfyn) that had about 110 levels of all jobs combined, level 32 thf was the highest. I deleted this character to start a new one in the US version and play with a couple friends, including a Japanese person i met as Puhfyn. For a few days its painful because it seems like you wasted a lot of time on a character that is now gone. Yeah, you did. But its all good, and you walk away with some good experiences and memories from the game, maybe a few friends. Dont make violent enemies over some damn gil.

Dude, half the people here dont even know who the hell you are. Shut the hell up and mind your business, this doesn't involve you. Sey has a right to talk, since hes involved with most of the people here. There are major trust issues involved, so being a mutual friend of almost everyone involved qualifies you to put in your 2 cents. (And just for the record, he was a level 60+ on his other character.)

Whatever, to me Seymour just sounds like a crying baby because he didnt get something he wanted. As a result he is taking a stab at Gatts. Oh wait...thats what everyone in here is doing. edit-btw I realize that Seymoure has some very high level characters. That's not my point though. My point is that he wasn't even in the LS and has just as much reason to be poking insults at Gatts as I do to defend him.

Do you really think he’s going to walk off with a 5million+ HNM equipment in less than a month and not even have 1 high level guilder in the LS? Xuande did the same thing. He walked away from a HNM LS with nothing but he didn’t walk away with a 70+ tanner guild and also the responsibilities of 20+ other members. Gatts cannot be Xion in one month so leaving the LS because he doesn’t have any “uber equipment” is totally BS. That’s not a valid excuse why he had the right to leave.

I didn't leave Requiem, my pearl was broken by Lemia. It was partly because those guys were upset about me joining RE. Take note that RubyEyes was formed out a older HNM LS called BluesNet and what is interesting is the fact that Lemia joined it on day 1. Not to mention Lemia was the one who told me who to ask to join (Mayce). We did mention it to the Requiem.

Pity Lemia went off to play Warcraft III for an extended period and by the time he came back, RubyEyes had already been formed...

Gatts didn't intentionally steal any money for his guild skill or whatever. He did, however leave his HNM, and as a leader he shouldn't have. Thats a REALLY pussy thing to do btw. Now what? Gonna keep bitching? Just sell the rest of the HNM items you have, split the gil. But plz stop just pathetically bickering on conversations you had on AIM or whatever over a message board. It's really pathetic. That's to both of you.

Oh and Xuande, if you are so much "greater" than Gatts, then why didn't you see this coming with your real stupid idea to give all the money to 3 people? Ok, so you were hesitant to agree with it, but you still did in the end.
Somehow, Xuande looks just as bad as Gatts now~

Wow, 11 pages of messy stuff. Impressive.

Not gonna get involved here, but I think from the information given, most people can decide for themselves.

I know many people are bitter about the money and time wasted, but this really isn't any different from a company investing years of training, hundreds of thousands of real money, and/or even MBA education in an employee, and then he leaves - happens all the time in the real world, it doesn't make the employee a bad person.

At least Gatts gave stuff back to the LS and agreed to continue to guild for the members indefinitely, which I think is quite respectable. How many employees that left a company give back their stocks and agree to consult for free? Just select a new leader and move on. Unlike the real world when economy can really go low, HNMs aren't going to stop spawning.

We pay and spend time to play this game to enjoy it, not to get pissed off by it.
