Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
Looking through my old screenshots on BG Bucket and I came across this gem:
Fail LS claims Ixion and takes five hours to kill him, the members of my LS plus another competing LS made fun of them afterwards, one of my best memories of being in an HNMLS.

I've yet to see a /stepdance Flash Mob.
Very disappoint.

OMG fat Chocobos lol that's adorable~
People will randomly mount up on mammoths or their motorcycles while waiting for Huolon to pop in WoW, not terribly original but no one would make like a mount parade. That's fucking cute and very cool.

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
As long as you stay the fuck away from Ex Primals (which are a toxic pit of hate), Balmung has a pretty tight knit community so Flash Mobs are pretty easy to organise.

How come, no matter how long I've played the Final Fantasy MMO's, I never got to see anything like that...

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
So one of the deans at a major college here apologized to the police department about the protests, saying "We haven't taught our students well."
Dean of my college (easily the #1) replied that that dean had no business saying that, and that the person who is best qualified to say it is our college's dean. So he agreed, saying "We really haven't taught our students well, just look at the President!"

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
Very true, but I give this guy props for being really as un-creepy as he could. Slowing down beside me in his car? Definitely creepy. But the conversation we had afterwards really wasn't.

I'm convinced that there isn't a way to pay a compliment to a woman you don't know without it coming across as creepy.

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
Walking back to my apartment from the fitness center (like maybe 1/4 of a mile, if that) and I’m happily walking along to my music at a brusque pace to keep my heart rate up and I notice a car driving slowly beside me so I stop and there’s this dude looking at me like I’m ignoring him so I pull out my earphones and he’s like “Why’d you keep walking, when I was trying to talk to you?â€
So I state the obvious (motioning to my earbuds), “I couldn’t hear you.â€
"Well I just wanted to tell you that you’re beautiful."
"Oh, thank you."
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Yes, we’ve been together going on two years now."
"Well he’s very lucky."
Folks I’ll admit it creeped me out just a bit, but I can’t help feeling actually flattered because instead of saying something ultra raunchy, he said something genuinely kindhearted, then turned to park his car at (presumably) his own apartment, and I continued forward toward my own.
Get home and texted my boyfriend and here was our exchange:
Me: Some guy who hit on me while walking back from the fitness center told me you’re “very lucky.†Because I’m “beautiful.†a little creeped out but kinda flattered.
Him: I agree with his sentiment (I realize now I read this wrong at first I thought he said “this†not “hisâ€)
Me: Which one? Lucky, beautiful, or creeped out?
Him: 1&2
Me: /blushing
FOLKS, I am going to fucking marry this man some day. Also. Props to random dude for paying me a genuine compliment, accepting that I was turning you down, and being respectful. It is much appreciated.
