Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
I'll take whatever I can get when it comes to Russia losing hockey, all they've been doing is talking all this shit about how great they are and I hope like hell that they fall flat on their faces and don't even medal.

Like the butthurt Russians in the Men's Ice Hockey. Harsh call? Yes it was. Was the ref just calling the match according to the rules? Yes he was.

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
I don't understand why people can't just accept results and there's always gotta be some scandal.
I was super happy to see the Canadian team win in Vancouver, especially since (I believe) the woman's mom had just died and it was a nice heartwarming story, and they were truly the better team 4 years ago. Now I believe they are more evenly matched but I did think that the US team edged out Canada and that the judges got it right. So they traded places on the podium, they should be happy. And a sliver medal honestly is nothing to sneeze at ...
I just don't understand. I guess there's always gotta be some damn drama.

They were talking on the CBC earlier about some alleged conspiracy between Russia and US to shut us out of the Gold ...

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
Series of texts between me and the boyfriend:
(1418) Me: Believe it or not I am dying in here it is hot as hell.
(1529) Him: Holy crap
(1530) Me: What
(1531) Him: You're hot
(1532) Me: Thank you baby. :-P
He kinda walked right into that one.

I just busted out laughing at this at work, oh my god.
Won’t Like The State Of The Pizza
Pizza | Greeley, CO, USA | Extra Stupid, Food & Drink, Geography
(I am a delivery driver on a delivery, and am unable to find the house that I am looking for, so I call the customer for help.)
Customer: “Hello?â€
Me: “Hi. This is the delivery driver in charge of delivering your pizza. Unfortunately, I’m a little stuck. I can’t seem to find your house. Could you verify your address for me?â€
Customer: “Yeah, no problem! It’s [address].â€
Me: “Okay. Well, that’s the same address that I have and I’m pretty sure I’m in the right place but I don’t see that address.â€
Customer: “Oh, it’s pretty hard to see my house at night especially because there are no street light near me. I’ll come outside to meet you.â€
(I am thoroughly confused by this because it is only six pm and the sun is still up.)
Me: “Excuse me, but it sounded like you said it was dark out so I wasn’t able to see your house?â€
Customer: “Yeah. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to offend you or anything.â€
Me: “No, no. That’s not the problem. Could you tell me what city your in?â€
Customer: “Um… I’m in Boston, Massachusetts. Where the h*** are you?â€
Me: “Sir, you called the [Pizza Shop] in Greeley, Colorado.â€
Customer: “Oh… I was wondering why the area code wasn’t normal.â€

I'm perpetually amused by upbeat cheerful songs that are actually a little dark or depressing.
