    So, my dad's Orc companion just shot one of his foes in the knee with an arrow.

    WELP, AT LEAST WE NOW KNOW WHO'S BEHIND ALL OF IT.

    Way to ruin the moment, Dak. Mighty Talos have mercy on your soul.

    A true Nord fights the Thalmor and earns their rightful place in Sovngard. If the empire is so weak they can't repel the Thalmor menace and end up as their puppets then a change of course is needed.

    *cue Sons of Skyrim song*

    May future expansions allow the heir of Talos -the Dovahkiin- to Liberate Cyrodiil, defeat the Dominion for good and unify Tamriel once more under his command!!! /warcry

    Side note: the Saadia quest is up for interpretation. Each character has their own side of the story, and neither can really be trusted. It's suppose to be a he-said she-said type of situation.

    Actually, who you followed in the tutorial level was a choice, too. Original character i followed the Nord out, the other character I followed the imperial.

    Also, you'd take an arrow to both knees before you'd ever get close to me with an axe

    There's a better chance of that happening than me joining up with the damn Storm Cloaks. Those assholes got me put on the execution block and at least that one imperial guy helped me to get the hell away from the fire-breathing monstrosity at the beginning.

    Really though, fuck 'em both. I don't want to side with either of them because they're all assholes. It was really annoying when that carried over into White Run's clans. I don't want to pick sides in that squabble when it just means choosing Empire or the Rebellion. Screw you both, I'll throw my lot in with the Companions. At least those guys are politically neutral. They just care about hitting things with swords, which is a much better philosophy than whatever the hell it is the Empire and the Storm Cloaks are peddling.

    I helped Saadia because she was being hunted and asked for help. I'm just a simple Nord and I told her I would help her, so I did. If you don't like it I've got an axe I'd like to introduce to your skull.

    Yeah, it was funny finding out you need brooms for that. Now I pick some from time to time as well even though I've yet to actually make a staff. XD

    And since my character is pretty much melee/shout based I've yet to level a magic skill beyond 35-ish even though I'm supposed to be the Archmage. <_<;

    So, since I showed my dad the Penny Arcade Broom comic, he picked up a few brooms himself just for laughs.

    He's since found an actual use for them: making them into staves. Which, since he always tends towards the magic side of things, probably could come in handy maybe.

    Finding the butcher was a nice change of pace from the dungeon clean up I was doing at the time.

    I just wish they had spent more time on the quest and added some more situational dialog and added some more twists to it, specially since you can skip a few steps if you put the pieces together before the quest takes you there. But I liked you can even convict an innocent person if you want or aren't paying attention. XD

    Time to go report the other less known (and more dangerous) butcher. Maybe I'll get more gold this time around.

    I was going for that roleplay-ish sarcasm.

    Most people would agree with me. Everyone is a person with thoughts and feelings that should be respected unless they're Thalmor or those that submit to them.

    Well, except I'm actually "The Butcher of Windhelm." I don't know whothis other "butcher" is, but I have his journals and killed that woman putting up flyers about him. And every other guard in that town. If you don't have a worthwhile quest, chances are you're not going to live long around me. Especially if you're a farmer walking those long, lonely roads between towns.

    I tried to kill that courier, but they're apparently immortals.

    ITT: YM is in dire need of a sense of humor, an automated sarcasm detector and a poking stick to poke on Cid with.

    Oh, now I remember. That's why I turned on Saadia in the first place, even though she was offering several favors in return. XD

    Been a long time now. I need to go kill all the Thalmor I find. later tonight.

    The Thalmor are High Elf supremacists that have conquered the Empire of Cyrodil and banned the freedom to worship Talos in all the Empire (because he was a man, not an elf, basically). And they're not exactly friendly. Granted, the Nords aren't exactly posterchildren for tolerance, but Skyrim is a nice place and the Thalmor are trying to change how they live which helps create paranoia and predjudice. Its a civil war, what can ya do?

    To be fair, though, the Thalmor offer the least friendly conversations in the game if you're not a High Elf and can usually be seen hauling off some poor Nord to prison for worshipping a god they don't like.

    ... So I kill them, their Imperial sympathizers and let the Nord go free.

    Saadia was a Thalmor sympathizer? >_<

    I knew I was right helping Kematu bringing her back to justice in Hammerfell. Pretty faces won't fool me!

    ...Or at least that's what Kematu said, plus the gold was nice. <_<;

    Coming up next:

    Cid trying to marry Elenwen.

    Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM

    I just started playing last night and it's been pretty awesome.

    My big adventure for the night was finding the Swindler's Den and trying to figure out how on earth to take on half a dozen thugs and their leader at once. They actually talk about this girl they're trying to find, so after several failed attempts at massacring them(because I'm squishy), I ended up agreeing to help them capture the girl that sent me after them in the first place. Except that was only as a ruse to get me close enough to kill off their leader and run like hell. It worked. It shouldn't have, but it was hilarious and awesome.

    I also really enjoyed the intro to the game where you're just running around trying not to get set on fire. It really hooked me.
