Re: Cataclysm
Ya know, I haven't ventured from FF11, but I'm gonna be honest, should i get a toon to cap before cata comes out? or just wait?
I think I have resigned myself to trying it out, I just am curious as to how to approach it. I'm pretty established in 11

Re: Cataclysm
I'm playing WoW right now fairly casually. I raid 1 day a week, only 2/12 on ICC25.
Dungeon finder tool is nice for casuals, just queue up and do whatever until it pops.
I'm a PvE Blood Elf Combat Rogue, so I don't know much about PvP. PvP is too hardcore, you can't really enjoy it casually unless you like getting crushed.

Re: Cataclysm
I'll give it a go if only to get one of my friends off my back about playing the 4.0 patch. It nerfs Rogues into the ground yet again for PvP yet he's still trying to get me excited about it.
So rejoin a game where I lose my stunlocks and everyone gets a ton more HP meaning that it takes a single sheep or fear to murder me in PvP or stick with FFXI/XIV...

Re: Cataclysm
I've been missing WoW a lot lately, which seems strange because I didn't really play it for that long, but I'm really considering reinstalling and picking it back up. When I get the money.
The fact that Cata is right around the corner is just something else that has gotten me more interested in picking it back up again. Not because of the expansion itself, but just because it's put WoW right in my face again and that has made me miss it.

Re: Cataclysm
Sometimes I can't not think about it. I remember the mindless grinds during my days off from school, with the daytime TV shows playing beside me. Now, I can't watch Spin City without wanting to play WoW.Originally posted by TheGrandMom View PostNope, not considering it at all. I played WoW and it just did not pull me in. A game has to make me think of it when I'm not playing it, WoW never did that for me. It was something to do when I was ultra bored....kind of like FFXIV.

Re: Cataclysm
If my macbook didn't want to catch fire when playing WoW I'd seriously consider it. I only played pre-BC, but I had a lot of fun with the game. It'd be cool to see the old world I knew changed so drastically.

Re: Cataclysm
I'm back playing WoW atm, levelling a shaman through the LFG dungeon tool and so far I'm really enjoying it. Thing with WoW is I'm well aware of its shortcomings and I know they'll release content at a glacial pace but it's still the most polished MMO out there with no signs of that changing. The older I get the more I appreciate a game I can log in to and achieve something in a limited window, I just find myself chomping at the bit and hearkening back to my hardcore EQ and FFXI days and thinking my time ingame should be painful, frustrating, and tedious if it's to mean anything.
So, in short, I'll no doubt pick up Cata regardless of how much I hate myself for playing WoW.

Cataclysm
For those of you not playing FFXIV, are you considering Cataclysm? I'm on the fence, because I have a lot of good memories from the 1-60 experience, and that's primarily what they're updating. I'm considering buying it just to check that out. The only thing holding me back is finding a decent PvP server on a decent Battlegroup with decent folk.
