Getting a job interview. And I wasn't even looking for a job.

I think I mentioned something about it a while ago, can't be bothered to look really. But, whenever you hear it's not what you know it's who you know... they were not kidding.

I'll be in an awesome mood all day until next Friday, when the interview is.

Good news: I am not a total fuckwit.

This is something we all knew, mind you, but today the compliment given was, "It's so refreshing to train someone who's not a complete dillweed. It's so great to only have to tell you something once and you just know how to do it." Well, I have always been a fast learner and I also am really good at self-teaching with a lot of things. So if I don't know it or only kind of know it, I figure it out.

So yeah, new job's working out.

Well about obtaining the 3DS, anyway, I just don't want to get shit about that from the family - they always give me shit about getting excited about video game things so heaven forbid they catch wind of me getting new hardware, even if I technically didn't spend much cash on it. This is nothing but projection, mind you, my grandmother always gave my dad shit about whatever he was doing. All the time, she's been dead ten years and now they're moving into seniorhood so now its my turn to get that even more.

Nothing I do will ever be good enough, my interests are always in the wrong place, why didn't you become such and such like so and so did, etc. I've accepted that I'll be hearing this sort of thing for the next 20 years and when I'm in my 50s they'll start approving and being nice to my children because then they'll want to get into heaven and stuff.

That stuff about my sister trying to push that dog on me stays up, though. She needs to be embarrassed over that, she actually did take the dog in. It will soon become despondent toward her like the others and like her husband better.

Ya I had hair down to below my butt for a long time but once I hit 40 it just didn't look good anymore. Older women with long hair tend to look older and dragged out so I cut it all off.....and when I say all off, it was one step from shaving my head the hair was so short! lol But hubby did not like it one bit. He's always seen me with long hair so I had to let it grow out. It's a little past shoulder length now and I'm going to get it cut soon. Need to find a style I like....thats the hard part!

I haven't sent it off yet but that's what I'm doing. I'll take a picture when it's light again. I'm not loving the short cut. It makes me look like a cross between my wife's boyfriend and my sister's fiancee and that's too weird. Maybe after a month or two of the har shagging out and me getting used to it, but right now ... ><
