But I don't get called my actual name at work. I get called a name that is similar to my name but that is not my name.

I would rather have some silly nickname than the complete and total failure to care enough about my person to address me correctly (especially when, as I've said time and time again, my name is right there in the fucking e-mail, like four times.)

And while it may not seem significant to most, I really, really, really dislike the name Julie, and I don't want to be called that.

I somehow don't think that when I become a teacher parents are going to be okay with their kids' teacher's name being Ms. Fuckwiggles.

I never had the Julie problem until I started at this job, and that's because one fucking idiot read it wrong and set up all my accounts improperly, and by the time it was fixed the damage had been done.

Yes, I realize I am the only Julia out of a company of thousands of employees (really, I checked) but that doesn't excuse a lack of attention to detail.

I am sick to death of Facebook showing me that my friends commented on a page that I have blocked. BLOCK means that I don’t ever want to see something from them. NEVER EVER. I don’t know why “Jane Doe commented on Fuckwiggle’s Page” even shows up in my feed considering I HAVE FUCKWIGGLES BLOCKED.

Obviously fake names, but seriously omfg Facebooks’ privacy and block options are total failures. Stop forcing me to see shit I don’t want to see.

I'm actually in the "premeditated" phase of murder right now, this one woman in our Macon market keeps arguing with me over credit and this one client. There is literally nothing I can do, they have been in business less than six months and it is corporate policy that we do not extend credit to any business with less than six months in business.

My job is to mitigate financial risk for the company. Literally that is my main reason for existence. Brand new business may come out of nowhere and be one of our best clients in that market, but history shows that startups don't do that well especially in today's economy and we're not going to take the risk. Seriously, stop arguing with me.

This has been going on since last Friday, and right now, I'm really close to jumping in my truck and driving up there. LET IT GO. It's not going to happen. If they weren't going to be able to pay for it prior to the spots running then I highly doubt that three months down the line when things come due they'd be able to either. And what really kills me about all of this is that their commission is directly tied to whether or not their clients fucking pay for their services. Like ... you should be fucking thanking me.

Finally found my french learning CD I got from the govt only to discover they're no longer a customer of the company that makes them, so I can't get a registration thingy to access the software.

New apartment complex going up really close to my work and in walking distance to a lot of things so I wrote down the name and when I got home I googled it and one bedroom apartments that don't even have washer dryer hookups (dealbreaker) are $1224/mo which is twice what I'm paying for rent right now.

Maybe next time just be honest with him. Tell him that he makes you feel uncomfortable and you don't like talking with him. Then just stare at him. Don't say anything else. If he insists on argueing or wanting to talk more, just say you don't want to continue the conversation and walk away. He will get the hint. The key is to not embelish after the first 2 statement and just stare at him. Hopefully he will understand and feel uncomfortbale and walk away. He should then avoid you as well.
