Like I said, Nintendo's earliest number crunching. I read this in an interview a tad bit ago (right after the news of PS3's insane cost was released/rumored/came to be). But, like I said earlier, don't be surprised if the Wii costs $150-$200.

However, just take my comments with a grain of salt. But, I'm not one to lie and hype stupid things like this up. :s

Oblivion does definately rock. One of the few games that I've found to be really good on 360. That and the new Ghost Recon.

Anyway. Yeah, I guess I'll be calling Gamestop in the morning to make sure they're taking reservations now, then head on up and put some money down on it. HDMI output alone is the reason I'll be spending the extra hundred bucks. Everything else is just a bonus as far as I'm concerned. Hell, I bought a new receiver just to get the extra HDMI ports. FFXIII looks great and I think everyone here knows I'm looking forward to checking out BD myself. /drool
Have to wait until I get home to watch the videos of this new controller system. Anyone wanna give a try to explain it to me real quick?

While FFXIII looks good, Tetsuya Nomura needs to be given a good slap up the side of the head and come up with something that's actually original. The character in the trailer is like an exact clone of Gunner Yuna (including the eyes), with a bit of Ashe thrown in. Can we get some original character designs please?

That's like telling Joe Mad to just "Draw different" after being established in his own style. Nomura has drifted to a more futuristic techno-punk look, and it's suited him so far.

A Mainstream FF with a female lead. Might be interesting. It's never been done before, that's for sure.

Yeah, the MS Indie thing was definately a postive step in the right direction. I feel bad that in the era of parallel processing, that teams in the hundreds are needed.

Dev Tools and such created around the hardware have become more accesible, but the man-hours needed for a project are greater. Supporting the little guys is definately nice.

Considering that M$ is mandating everything to be "Xbox360" certified before they can sell it, It's like taking one step foward and one step right back.

3party support is kinda "eh".

A lot of people are standing on the sidelines right now. All sides have not been making it easy for 3rd party. PS3 with the Cell, 360 and their certification, and Wii and their not-even-remotely-normal-controller scheme.

That's part of the reason earily people will eat the PS3 price. If you can't see the future, see the past, and PS3 has the best track record.

Of course track record wize, who wins japan, wins the war. Let's see what next's month's denseki survey is, ps3 or Wiii (it's too trivial to even count 360 for now).

It's wierd that North America is the biggest market in terms of capital, also keeping in mind that those crazy Euros are becoming a force all of their own.

However it's obvious that tiny ol Japan has the most influence.

This obviously deserves a banning. He is slightly offtopic in the FFXI General forums. Also, this is copywrited material, all the links should be removed and this thread should be locked and moved to the mod forums.

who care about topic right now...this is an E3 thread leave ti where it is untill E3 is over, and just have everyone keep talking....rules are made to be bent ever so often, it wont hurt anything anyway..........

anyway back on/off topic :p

I am getting a Wii first, just because to me alot of the nintendo games have been fun to me, when I want an PRG I go for my PS2 and for a fighter I went for my X-box, and when I wanted some pure arrss funn, I went for my GC

Now this time around.... 360 is 400...... and PS3 is 600 -.- no thanks that is way to much for a system, I dont care what it has in it, these are supost to be GAME systems not spaceship computer, both Microsoft and SOny have placed way to much "next-gen" tech into their machines, where all NIntendo did was double the power of the GC and make a really fun way to play new games

Nintendo has always and will always keep one step ahead of Sony and Microsoft, even if noone wants to admit it

P.S. yeah yeah dont say anything about Robo (nes) and V-boy -.- we all know abotu those blunders :p but hey atlease Nintendo tries when thinking outside the box ^.^

And damn Nintendo. Now I HAVE to buy a Wii. It might be the only system I buy this year. PS3 might just have to wait until I get a better paying job.

SSBB Looks pretty intense, actually. I'll be suprised what to see was worked out with old controls.

Zelda looks hard as shyte to control, but it's a healthy challenge I'll gladly have hours of fun partaking in. However, it looks like the control won't be an intuitive part of gaming anymore. At least for the first few hours, we'll be stumbling along. I'm just hoping that the difficulty curve isn't TOo severe.. .

And there is plenty of life left in the PS2, games are still coming out. With all the hub bub about the new systems, prices will be GREAT for the current generation.

It's May now, let's hope PS2 is $100 by this Christmas I'm not even going to bother fixing my current one, I just use it for FFXI and it can go suck on something -.-.

Reports from E3 say that the Zelda:TP Wii's learning curve is pretty low (decently simple) and Metriod Prime 3 is harder (since the blaster is aimed with the Wiimote).

SSBB wont use the Wiimote-Nunchuck, but possibly use the GCN controller. See my post a few pages back before the flaming, i think it was 128 or something.

So is it going to come with the wiimote and a regular controller? Or are they counting on people already have GCN controllers? Many they should really incorporate the light gun into this. Old school ftw.
