What language are you speaking? If you think they can't add new content because of the PS2, then how have they repeatedly added new content while keeping the PS2?

I think you are confusing being restricted about what kind of content SE can and cannot implement and being completely prevented from adding anything new due to PS2 limitations.

By using reskinned zones is probably my guess. Isn't that all the new shit has basically been?

When's the last time a new zone showed up in the game. Not something reskinned and released with new/different mobs which surely take up less disk space, but a brand spanking new zone. My guess as I've not played in some time is zones like La Vaule and Grauberg? So three years ago?

In order for SE to do another full on expansion with exploration of entirely new areas, something is going to have to be done about PS2 memory, if my knowledge suits me correctly.

I mean if you're having fun with mini-expansions that keep recycling old zones, then cool, but I think a lot of the remaining players (myself included, if I were indeed still playing) would like to see some brand new areas with brand new battle systems, mobs, new terrain, etc. Not some recycled shit somewhat altered. Brand-spanking new content. There is going to come to a point in time (and the game may already be there) where it will become impossible for them to add any new zones. Sure, they can add new Dynamis zones, for example, but what is Dynamis? A city reskinned. Etc. Even WoTG wasn't really an expansion, in the strict sense of the word. People want to see new areas, not old areas rehashed. Was a cheap way to put out a new expansion with a couple of new zones but a whole lot of old shit. Is that where the game should go?

Let me answer that for you: Fuck no.

I've read that has more to do with lazy designers than with hardware limitations actually.

Now there has been some incredibly stupid stuff said over there. I have already gotten hours of lulz from the official forums. But holy fucking crap, I can not believe it's 2011 and there is shit like this that people do not know.

The thread is about Haste. How it works. It shows the math. How using haste will increase your damage output over time. This person refuses to gear swap on her THF because of A. blinking and B. she prefers to optimize/balance all of her stats. So she does equip some haste, she just doesn't stack it. And she doesn't swap for WS. Oh lordy.

The thread is here if you're interested in losing some brain cells. SE has a habit of nuking threads though, so I can't promise it'll still be there tomorrow. :/
