It sounds like you just got some bad rdm. It happens - too many just coast through. But I have had bad rdm from all nationalities - NA, JP and EU, and good rdm as well.

Ok enough about arguing nationalities whos best etc. its simple.

FFXI is a multi cultural community of people with different backgrounds and way etc.

People have their own playing style, their are people who scrape by, people who make an effort to learn and people who research everything and all areas, mobs etc. before doing the job. This RDM obviously falls into the scape by category and seems to not give a F about makign an effort, only to gain exp.

Doesn't matter where you are from how long you have been playing each player will fit into one fo thsoe 3 categories.

And don't like you have done to people before preach and say "what you know you only lvl31" I have been playignthe game for a long time, I have learned various jobs, I have made an effort to do my job as best i can and taken heed of any advice. I am a betetr player than others but not as good as others, but i listen to advice I take things on board.

Your attitude to the nationality etc. is not justified. You can't generalise on a single action by one person. NA form at least 40-50% of the players currently online, thats a big generalisation. Yes I've partied with some useless people, so i just blist and move on if they ignore any advice I put them, I give them a chance first. As fo exping you got some exp out of it. any experience in a party no matter what exp rate you get is good experience for yourself to learn to adjust to diferent setups, players ways etc etc. its all alearning curve, yes you've had a bad experience, just get over it and stop flaming people for their replies.

i would suggest taking a step back these people are only responding to one of the things you said that they disagree with. and to that end they arent even being mean about it.

i do understand your frustration with sub-par players, we all encounter them at one time or another, and i might add, we all were them at one time or another.

while high level players should have learned the basics at that point, there are a variety of factors which could explain their shortcomings.

Jarre, sorry to tell you but unless you've leveled a job to 75 you don't know all the ins and outs of a job. Just because you got to the dunes on DRK doesn't mean you know how to control your hate with Souleater, which spells to cast and when to use them, etc. So your comment about "leveling multiple jobs and I know them" is pretty wrong.

My opinion is justified when its something that I've noticed. Or perhaps you're too dim to realize that? Maybe you're used to the exp PT where someone afks every 10 minutes or so, but I'm not. I'm used to 10-13k an hour exp PT where its mob after mob nonstop. So please spare me the "Any exp is good exp" routine, if I wanted to level like I was back in the dunes, I'd hop on my 15 COR and do so.

Am I supposed to follow some FFXIOnline forum code, where if the people who reply to my post don't read it completley that I should back off? Sorry to ruin people's rainbows and sunshine, but like the thread stated in the BEGINNING of the post, it was a rant. If you didn't want to read it then you shouldn't have, no one forced you to hit the reply button, you did of your own free will.

I guess the part where I stated "This was a rant" wasn't clear enough? And no this isn't typically how I express myself, hence why it is called a rant. Its a post made when someone is pissed off, and wants to get it off their chest. I'm suprised you don't know what it is, I mean you've been around since 2003, right?

Honestly, I don't have a problem with the first few people in the post, its the people who replied with "zomg liek he likes JP players more than NA!!11!" that pissed me off even more.

I'm not wondering why people are rating me down, I'm well aware that some of you who have read or posted in the thread are so shocked by my posting style or "vulgarity"(lol), that you feel compelled to expel this person from your Candyland, where people all smile and dance in fields of gold. Well I'm sorry if I shook up your world a little bit, but like I said before it was a rant, I wanted to get it off my chest, and that was it. If people are too stupid to see past the observation I made about the parties I've been in the past few days, thats on them.

As an update, I got 72 last night and can now exp within my LS, so I won't have to worry about the garbage RDM on my server.

And y'know, there's nothing wrong with that, and you can post up your rant here like everyone else does. Just keep your head when someone posts disagreeing with you. Don't go around abusing people because they didn't reply with "omg ur r rite."

My own thoughts on Rdm's are - if they're good, they get snapped up into statics that get them levelled up very quickly...

Had a friend do that recently going from 10 - 50 in the space of a couple of weeks. Soon he'll be pushing 70 at this rate... and I'd expect him to be 75 within 3 months tops.

Funny, your the guy who suggested using GSWD as PLD/NIN I referred to in my previous post. And I didn't lump the entire NA population into a sucky player category, I stated that during the past few days I've pted with horrible NA RDM and good JP RDM. I've resorted to insult people because they are not listening to what i'm saying and do not realize this simple fact.

Frankly if you are such a great RDM you shouldn't have anything to worry about, should you?

Funny, that PLD/NIN in my party I was talking about? That party made 13.5K XP per hour. Doesn't seem too terribly gimpy to me. If anything, I was the one holding the party back, being RDM 71 at the time (and thus missing a Silence or two due to high resist rates).

As for "resorting to insults", it's been my observation over the past 20 years of online posting that people generally only do such things when they post indefensible opinions and then get their bluff called.

Just because you have an opinion does not mean your opinion is right, or is worthy of consideration as a blanket statement.
