I read this: "Japanese players have typically been playing the game longer than others, so yes in a way they are better, because they are more experienced." I'm saying that's not true anymore. The difference in experience between the core NA players and JP players is negligable now. In the beginning when almost all NAs had only been around a few months and JPs had been playing over a year, that statement may have been valid, but at this point citing more experience in one set of players over the other is moot.

Oh please, newbie (and high level) areas have always been like that, just because you now have higher lvl jobs and notice things you didn't notice a year ago doesn't mean bad and good players in any job are something recent.

Seriously, are you new RDM absolutley retarted? Half the time I have to beg for a dispel on mobs... since when does a SAM have to ask for a person to do one of their job defining tasks? Do people really not give a damn about their job anymore and would rather spend hours getting 3-4k when they could be getting 8-9?

I'm mad because people are only reading one part of the topic and then saying "ZOMG its not JP that make them good". Its the fact that people fail to realize that it was merely a comparison. Where did I say, if you are Japanese you automatically win FFXI and don't even compare to those silly NA players? What angers me is that people fail at reading on online forums and miss the point.

And frankly, I could give a shit how I look on these forums. The other day I looked in the PLD forum and a "respected" member of this site was saying that PLD/NIN using GSWD is a great option in an exp PT. I came here because IGE bought out Alla. At least there people knew half a shit what they were talking about.

And finally, the part where I referred to the "North Auction House" was part of a flash video made back in 2004. It was meant to be a joke; remember the little Taru saying "Can you show me the North Auction house?" in it?

Perhaps you should explain yourself better. My advice: Less vitriol.

If you're going to bring up nationality or race or gender, or any sort of individual characteristic and then use it as an example, be prepared for people to take that the wrong way (or even the right way depending on how it's worded - people love anti JP/NA/EU/Whatever threads).

Sticking to "newer players" is a much better way of getting your point across without unduly angering anyone.

on a whole, the NA RDM that I've pted with are so much worse than JP RDM. Just as an example, I made a PT this morning with a setup of SAM SAM RDM NIN WHM and made 10-12k an hour in Caedarva. Go back with the same jobs but NA players, can barely break 6-7k an hour.

This is not a comparison. You passed off an opinion (you like Japanese players better) as fact (North American players are crap).

The entire topic was you partied with bad Red Mages and close your post with saying if they were Japanese players I wouldn't have had this problem. Therefore your view that Japanese players are so much better becomes more then just an aside and becomes a central part to your argument.

This isn't alla, here people has respect for other people's opinions.

The "At least there people knew half a shit what they were talking about." part was more about people there being so afraid about getting flamed for trying something new that they just repeated what others thought it was "common knowledge".

Here people listen to other players experiences and takes what works for them, in Alla people just flamed things they didn't understand or that were new to them.

Like someone said in the welcome thread, a lot of stuff from Alla just doesn't fly here.

And I'm glad it's that way.

The game has been out for a while now, experience differences are between new and seasoned players.

Just my personal preference.

I invite good player first. When you levelling up at a certain time of day, you really start to remember players around your level you've PT with. I really recognized a couple decent players I've group with this way and I will invite them again when I next make PT. NA/JP doesn't matter really.

Then I'll invite unknown players.... for this I really prefer JP. Skill is not the major concern for me but it's the fact that I usually never have to deal with replacements with JP members -.-

I hate replacing more than anything else.... I can live with so-so PT doing 4-5k exp per hour but when you have to stop every 10 minutes because some member leave, that is when I got really stressed out.

To Aksyanni: The imps had blaze spikes on.. I can't think of anything more obvious than 3 people repeatedly hitting a mob and it showing up as a wall of fire. I literally had to shout for dispel. When I play BRD I pay attention to the chat log (I thought this is what all mages did), so I don't see why he or she couldn't see the damage taken.

Understandable, I didn't realize it was Blaze Spikes. Yeah, that's definitely a problem. Well I was just trying to bring a bit of devil's advocate into play, but I guess you are correct that this particular Red Mage was a retard.

Was it the first time your RDM came there ? What was the PT setup ?

If your RDM was main healing , dont expect him to haste you, even with a BR as he will try to do 2 jobs. So yes, cut will have to be done and thefirst that come to mind is going ride of haste. A good RDM can do a 7 refresh/haste cycle but dont ask him to main heal at the same time or you will not chain a lot.

Ok now, maybe he was just a bad one. maybe he was powerlvled to that point. With a PL to 41 then "PLed by refresh". You said he is bad but you still kept exping with him, that's why some players don't care about beeing good : they can exp and be lazzy-crappy.

Even more, maybe he has other jobs to 75 and so knowing that some jobs can leech and not caring about doing good intentionnaly.

As FF is out for a long time now, I would not blame it on new players, JPs, NAs, EUs or whatever. Just on the lazziness of someone, maybe even doing it on purpose.
