You get the confirmation mail pretty much immediately. So either their server is overloaded or the address had a typo. <_<

I've read there's some issues with using a gmail address, but I dunno. I got my confirmation email within minutes. I hope they at least tell us when the beta will happen soon so we get some idea of how long we have to wait to hear whether or not we got in.

Maybe a little bit, but no. Guild wars 2 is a whole new game. But, you'll never know that salon was origimally the charr, which was taken by the humans, then taken by the charr during the 200 years of war, and after that, thats when the dragons awoke.

Nah, you will only miss some of the lore, maybe some titles. GW2 is meant to a stand alone, pretty much like every GW expansion.

If your PC can run the original Guild Wars it will probably be able to run GW2.

Plus that's what the test is for.

I just want in so I can figure out which classes I'm going to enjoy. It would suck to get there on opening day, spend an hour tweaking my first character and then realize that I hate the class I picked. Also I need a head start in order to come up with some good character names, and those are gonna depend on race and class.

I think I might be in there for GW2. Gonna apply for beta tonight. I run a 2 year old gaming laptop, I hope I get in. =(.

Sweet. And I just got a new machine not too long ago that can run XIV. Hope I get into the Beta.

Been waiting for years for this game.
