And let's not even touch on nudity. The people in the US are so damn anal about nudity that I just want to shake them. Oh its ok to listen to music that is 60% swearing and degrading someone/something yet show a bare hinder in a game and OMFG THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!!! Seriously, we all have bodies and for the most part all men's bodys and women's bodys are the same. We see ourselves naked every day when we bathe. So why in the hell are we so uptight about seeing nakedness!?

The issue is also that the US is afraid of sex. Because we are such a deeply religious country we have a rather skewed perspective on things. (Yes, I know some cultures are 10x worse) You all have probably heard this before. You can turn on just about any channel and get your fill of blood and violence... but when a 'wardrobe malfunction' occurs on national TV and millions of viewers are given a dark, grainy, distant glimpse of a nipple, the whole fuckin country suddenly demands stricter controls.

Despite being the porn producer of the world, this country as a conservative majority cannot seem to say the word sex publicly. This is same reason why I recently read about how abstinence has failed a method of preventing teen pregnancy. (Yes, because not talking about sex is so much better than just getting it all out in the open.) In other countries showing nudity on TV and movies isn't that big of a deal. In the US it's the difference of an R rating or NC-17, depending on how much female vs. male nudity there is.

So until as a society we change (which we are... slowly), every time a popular game like Mass Effect or GTA show anything 'sexually suggestive' expect some ultra conservative douchebag to declare the end of civilization because we allow games like these to poison our youth. (Too bad they dont attack the games that are nothing but sexual content... )

It's not so much that I care about nudity, at least for the non-male crowd, guys, put some pants on! It's more, unless that is what the game is about, I don't really want a whole lot of exposed flesh in my game.

Take FFXII for instance and that rabbit-girl whose name eludes me. Ok, battle armor bikini, not bad to look on, but I don't want to be staring at her ass all the time I play that game.

Plus the camera controls just...... Since I tend to like to micro manage my characters in some fights and stuff whenever I switched to her she'd always run up against a wall or something and let's just say I'd get camera views of odd places >.>

Or Xenosaga Ep III. I was disappointed in Ep II, and when Shion and KOS-MOS are wearing MUCH more revealing clothing, toss in another 'bot with a big hole cut in the middle of her shirt, and it feels like a detraction to me. It's not what I'm playing the game for.

Besides, lace, armor, and bigass guns > skimpy clothing and bigass guns. Sometimes more is less, leaving something to the imagination is a good thing.

Either I want it to be MY choice, or I will play a game with more, "mature" content in it. I don't want the normal games I play to have it to that extent.

Also, as others have said parents need to stop being pansies and step up to their jobs as a parent. You darn well BETTER know what's in that game before you let your kid play it. 95% of all games you can tell if it's appropriate or not just by looking at the cover or the back. Tell them you will read about it on Gamefaqs if you must do some homework on it.

It is inexcusable for kids to be playing the GTA games.

Not at all. There are plenty of ways to be sexual without nudity, and vice versa. The idea the nudity is sexual is pretty silly, really.

I did not say that if you walk around naked that you are acting sexually. In my day, walking around naked (in certain areas) was treated the same as if you were wearing clothes. It's the mental mind set of the individual that thrusts a sexual connotation on it. I said that sex (the act of having it) and nudity pretty much go hand in hand. I would say 90% of the time we have any type of sexual relations we at least partially expose out bodies.
