Damn all this ipad talk... Contemplating whether i should get a 3G one at the end of the month or just wait it out. I hate technology, it makes me want it.

Yes...yes I have. lol I was in Best buy the other day and a woman with two kids was trying to figure out what pc to buy. A sales person was helping her but talking over her head. She was frustrated because the kids were antsy so she made a snap decision that was based off misinformation from the sales guy. I butted in as he was going to get her a cart to put the pc in. I took my DS and PSP out and gave one each to the kids. Then I talked to her about pcs. I ended up saving her $500 and getting the look of death from the sales guy. I guess he heard me tell her that he didn't know wtf he was talking about. lol

Reading comments on all the different review sites is pretty interesting. There are pretty much 2 schools of thought on the iPad and it's functionality and target market. One group sees it as the e-reader+1 and the other group sees it as the tablet/netbook-1.

I was originally part of the latter, but after looking at all the info and reviewing everything for myself, I have switched to the former. I guess it's all just a matter of perspective on whether you think this device has a place in todays' market. But 600 USD for an e-reader+1 is definitely too steep for me at this moment. Lets see what happens a month from now haha.

ok.... I will admit the comic thing is cool, but I personally don't need an Ipad, because I have my Dell Tablet *shrugs*

But ok I will admit, if I did not have my tablet, and I wanted an Ereader type device.... I would THINK about getting one.

I just like to be helpful so people can make an informed decision before buying something. For some people it really is fantastic and other people don't give it a second glance. So far everywhere I've went in public with it, people stop to look and ask about it. I know I've sold 7 of them for sure and probably a few more. It just gets quite exciting! lol

TGM, I'm planning on getting the 3G version, I wanted to ask you if you could download iMangaX and see how the mangas look on there. The free version is crap, but the paid version removes the retarded adverts from it.
I'm currently liking iMangaX on my iPhone, but I wanted something bigger.

I'm enjoying the $5 iMangaX app. No advertisements, pretty well organized, easy to use, etc. You can search by catagory (action, adventure, historical, mecha, etc.), look at the top 50, New, Completed, or All. There are 1124 different mangas to choose from. (I'm sure you know all this but I thought I'd post it for others.)

As for how it works, its not as good as the Marvel comic reader or the eBook reader for iPad. He says he is working on version that will cache the next page so there is less wait. There are also no bookmarks which sucks but he's working on that too. I look at it this way, I'm saving an assload of money so minor inconveniences do not bother me. For me, its just awesome to be able to read manga anywhere I choose to now, especially since waiting rooms usually only have those old ass women's magazines laying around!

It allows you to bypass iTunes to put music on your iPod. So basically drag and drop. There are simple games to play and other features. The big draw is no iTunes.

This certainly sounds like it would make things so much easier, thanks for explaining it. Still don't see myself getting an ipod as I loathed the click wheel controls and spending a buttload of cash on a touch is something I would never do.

Am I the only one scratching my head at that last comic frame with The Thing? How does he fill those spandex-like shorts with a round bubble bottom when the rest of his skin looks like it was carved out of a chunk of Mount Rushmore?

I try not to look at The Thing's sun-setting side. When I see things like this though, and the variety of comic book covers out there, it never fails to make me wonder just how many of these hypermasculine sculture-esque characters are designed by closet homosexuals.

....errr, men in top physical condition and sculpted-esque physiques have nothing to do with closet homosexuality and everything to do with being a representation of power and strength. Both male and female super heros are designed to look like the ideal image of the human body, almost absurdly so. Unless you're trying to suggest that the guy who drew the Thing's ass has a soft spot(so to speak) for rock hard butt cheeks.
