On some random website they had an article with a list of essential ipad goodies. They listed Zip-Lock bags saying that if you put it in a zip-loc and seal it right, you can play with the iPad in the bath tub or shower. I'd be too scared to try that myself lmao, but there was a claim that it works. I'd try to find the article but I'm too lazy to do it.

So they did actually add the App store as an App. OS updates don't come from the App store though.

This is to install apps, update the OS and sync contacts. You can't do any of that without iTunes, which means you have to have a Mac or Windows desktop,

I thought this was all done on the device itself without the need for the desktop. Last I heard, you only needed a desktop to activate it, which they can do for you at the store you purchase it from.
