They had them sitting out in best buy the other day. I went in and played with one for about 5 minutes, and I was pissed off because they only had the apps that came with it on there >_>. IMO they should've put at least one game on there so people could test it out. However, I really liked how the pictures in the picture albums looked sharp and crispy. I could see somebody getting one just to sit on their work desk and use as a digital photo frame until break time then play games or read with it.

That's too bad for your Best Buy, the one in Bakersfield had Plants vs. Zombies on it and flight control. It was pretty awesome. Though 5 lines of zombies is 5 lines of zombies. Too many planes at once for me on Flight control, I guess I suck at directing air traffic.

There was a racing game too, but I didn't care too much for accelarometer games.

Reuters was ok looking on it as well, didn't try any other games. Maybe tonight I'll take another look at it.

They look interesting, but 500 bucks for the cheapest? Screw that.

I heard HP is making a rival that has more features on it that a lot of people were complaining the iPad didn't have so might wait and see that.

So my iPad came today and I'm rather enjoying it.

I had to hit up Facebook and post some pics:





This was the very first screen you see when you turn it on. I have it resting on a 13" Macbook Pro. It also came fully charged which made my geek heart very happy:





And here is all the paperwork that comes with it. One sheet is the warnings, like don't immerse it in water, etc. The next sheet is some Apple stickers. The last one with the picture of the iPad on it is the actual instructions...one sheet...a 1/2 page of writing on the back....just kind of cracked me up lol:

So something interesting came out of that live streaming of FFXIV Alpha. I noticed on the page it had an advert for an iPhone App for Justin tv. So I downloaded the App and started looking through some of the feeds. The App is a little clunky since it does not have a menu that lists categories for the feeds. You pretty much have to know what you are looking for and do a search, or browse through the Featured section.

I found a few feeds that show movies. One has Star Trek and Terminator movies on what appears to be a loop of the movies in the order they were released. I haven't watched it a lot, but I saw a next gen trek movie before bed last night, and this morning T3, then Salvation right after. So I am guessing about the loop showing them in order. Another feed claims to show Very Latest Movies 2010-2009 (and some oldies), it's showing Halloween II right now. Then there is movies, movies movies on Paradise_island. Currently showing The Next Karate Kid.

I was wondering if anyone with an iPad would check out this App and tell us what the quality is like.

Holy balls, that shit is expensive. And the 3G one you need another data plan on top of what you may have with your phone company.

Damn all this ipad talk... Contemplating whether i should get a 3G one at the end of the month or just wait it out. I hate technology, it makes me want it.
