God nonmainstream Anime?

Hello all! I am looking for a Good non-mainstream anime.

Like the ones that not everyone knows about. Naruto, Bleach, One-Piece, all animes that are mainstream that everyone knows about I don't want to watch. I grew tired of it....

I recently watched, and finished "Angel Beats!", but I would like another one to watch, and kill time with.

So, anything with Action, Fantasy, and Romance I would love to watch, along with furries.

Glancing over my DVD collection, Darker Than Black, Sengoku Basara and Sacred Blacksmith are 3 series that I really enjoyed

Gunbuster and Diebuster, in that order. The former is Gainax's second commercial work, the latter is a sequel released 16 years later with a very Fooly Cooly vibe to it. Both are 6-episode OVAs so they won't take up much of your time, but damn are they good. Gurren Lagann is essentially an extended and over-the-top love letter to Gunbuster/Diebuster with male protagonists instead of females.

Just finished watching the sacredblacksmith.... So many loose ends... There has to be a second season....

I'll look up denno coil as well.

Save some time and watch the movies. The only thing you'll really be missing is post-timeskip Simon punching the living daylights out of someone who really needed it (in so many ways!), but you'll benefit in kind from not only cutting to the chase quicker, but also from never having to see Episode 4.

The movies are a little bit too abridged if you ask me. If you're gonna watch it you might as well watch the whole thing. Except episode 4.

Why would I never see episode 4?

The animation is all fucked up and nothing very important happens. They just introduce a couple of characters. You can just skip to the part where they say hello and then skip to the end of the episode.

Notably lower production quality. Apparently, the producer let his friend be guest director for the entire thing. The animation style clashes quite notably with the rest of the series.

If you're seeking God anime, I would point you towards Serial Experiments Lain (if you haven't watched it yet.) A good look at the influence of the internet and if an internet presence can make one a God in the real world.

God Anime? Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon maybe. Bonus points for having Jun Fukuyama doing the voice of the main character.


But this is the part where people mentions some 20 year old anime as the reason why there shouldn't be any new anime created since all the "good shows" were already made a few decades ago.
