If you want, it really wont spoil anything if you watch it first.
And my favorite song in all Saint Seiya.

Re: So how about some suggestions?
This is the TV episodes 1-99, the OVA's, and Hades, Sanctuary, and Inferno. I'll go find Lost Canvas...should I watch that before watching any of the 31 gbs of Saint Seiya?

Re: So how about some suggestions?
All the best stuff starts after the Asgard arc.
But the first series while slow (gotta remember it is more than 20 years old
and they used to spend A LOT of time just talking back then) gives a lot of background on everything that happens in the later series.
Alternatively you can watch The Lost Canvas, which is a prequel.
PS > Asgard is my favorite arc.
PPS > Also don't forget to download the movies, or at least the Abel chapter.

Holy crap, Saint Seiya is 31 gbs! lol That will take me all day to d/l! I'll have to burn it and put it in my briefcase too so that I can watch it on my portable DVD player. I'd put some episodes on my iPad because its more convienent but the damn thing needs to be wiped and re-jailbroken and I'm just too friggin lazy to do all of that. 31 gbs....jesus this better be a good one! lol

Re: So how about some suggestions?
I only remember seeing enough of it to get the gist of of it.
Starts out kinda typical. Female assassin hired to do a job, somehow get stuck with a kid afterward. Tries to find ways to get rid of her until some mysterious connection to her past is seen in the girl, then she starts to care.
Basically, its The Professional minus Jean Reno plus a female lead.

Has Noir been mentioned? I've only seen little snippets of it, but it seemed like an interesting mystery kind of anime with assassin chicks. I really haven't seen much of it though, so I don't know if it's a good one or not.

Re: So how about some suggestions?
I tried the Witchblade anime and while its more interesting than the live-action take, I don't recall the Witchblade making the original heroine act horny when she used it, at it only activated when it felt like it. Imagine The Hulk if he got stronger by getting turned on by violence. That's how the heroine of this Witchblade. The last thing the bad guy should do is throw her around.
I mean, OK, i wasn't much of a Witchblade reader - the whole warring corporations for the Witchblade was an element of the comics, but there's a lot of embellishment here as well. Its watchable, though I think I'm liking Claymore and Desert Punk better right now.

I'm giving an anti-recommendation for Macross Frontier. It was not at all a memorable experience and not terribly enjoyable either. There's better things you could spend your time watching.

Don't know if TGM liked it or will like it but Saint Seiya is a must-see.
The new series Lost Canvas is pretty good too.
Edit > Also Macross, Macross 7 and Macross Frontier. Which includes playing the PSP game Macross Ultimate Frontier.

Re: So how about some suggestions?
Well, I was thinking that most stories in in failure or back at square one. The "easy come, easy go" theme. Faye is Elane/George hybrid, Spike is Jerry, Ed is Kramer, Jet is... well, he's more Carl Winslow from Family Matters, the stressed out father figure - he's going to keep cool and streetwise for as long as he can, but the "kids" are going to make him pop eventually.Originally posted by Armando View PostI'm sure that if you changed the setting and year, it would be exactly like Cowboy Bebop. Newman would be Vicious and Kramer would be Ed's dad.

Ef ~A Tale of Memories~
Ef ~A Tale of Melodies~

(Lucky Star also relies heavily on character archetypes.) Azumanga Daioh would be a better fit.Heck, I'm pretty sure that Lucky Star currently holds the title of "Anime Seinfeld."Last edited by Armando; 10-09-2010, 07:13 AM.
