God damn gil sellers.
Hehe they're camping it on Fairy now too. However, the ones on Fairy aren't bots like a lot of people claim them to be so there pretty easy to beat them to the mob as long as you're paying attention. I was camping Stroper the other day and some poor guy kept shouting about the "bot" gil farmers stealing his chyme and how he was gonna report them..blah blah blah...In reality, he was just too slow.
450k aint crap on fairy server the rings go for 2.5 mil id gladly pay 450k verse 2.5 mil

Yeah, but still those gil sellers are really a pain. One thing I just realized with them is they are not creating an excess of gil. They are doing something that when I thought about it is even worse, they are halting the game economic growth.
Think about it the gil sellers usually are after the bigger money making items, the biggest money making items are ones that are sold and purchased from the AH (player gil, not npc gil).
That means these gil sellers are pooling the gil that comes into the economy. Remember gil that comes into the economy comes in by NPC drops (killed NPCs), Quests, Missions, and items sold to NPC (Not AH). How many of those do a gil seller really do? Last I checked they do close to none, they get what ever little from NPC drops if what they are hunting drops any gil.
That means every piece of gil that did come into the economy by players doing the needed process to generate it is being pooled by the gil sellers. Then people willing to pay real money for the gil gets a false economic boost (Gil Sellers getting control of the major items causing Inflations) that ends up being recycled back to the gil sellers.
So really the gil sellers if you look at it in a grand scale is halting the games progress to a degree. They are basically what keeps the economy generally poor and warps the normal process of supply and demand, if you look at the specific items that move the money the most you'll notice that they defy the supply and demand rules.
I mean come on having instances were are 8 Brigandine +1 and still holding a price of 800k???? Before that gil seller group (Numberone, Numberthree, Numberfive, Numberseven, Numbernine, Numbereleven) came along whenever the Brigandine + 1 went over 5 in stock the price would drop and now it holds it's position or goes higher? o.O
The quantity purchased of the Brigandine +1 also took a sharp drop (Use to be about 10 purchased a day, now it's 1-2 a day). I've even seen periods now were Brigandine +1 won't sell for a week and still it holds that high price. That seems to me like it's definatly defying the supply and demand rules. There are actually many items you can see doing that, the physics of supply and demand used in the real world doesn't hold as strong in the virtual.
Even the concept of Monopolizing is altered in the virtual, in the virtual Monopolizing is simply holding the greater quantity of a wanted product. So gil sellers don't have to be the sole person getting the items as long as they are the ones getting the item more often then they still succeed in Monopolizing.

I think snipers are going for 400k on Asura now. Lucky I bought mine when they were below 300k. Next up, Haubergeon! Almost there. Been farming for couple weeks now bleh
Its funny. Theres gil sellers everywhere on Asura. All the known good farming/nm spots are taken. But only advice I can give anyone is just get it over with and do it. Looking back, I would've started crafting instead of spending all that time farming.
I dont know where that other guy got the 2.5mil figure, mayhap he was looking at the +1 version or something...but if i recall they are holding at around 500k right now on Fairy.

If you must, then go with the Sniper + Deft. Just make sure you start saving up for a 2nd sniper along the way to 60. Although I don't think Sniper's are worth 400k+, you will just have to bite the bullet and get them.
From my experience with Sniper's. You will notice that you will still whiff a good amount on IT mobs. But where Sniper's are valuable are on VT mobs. You will whiff alot less on VT and below mobs.
Well snipers are almost 700k on Seraph, been trying to farm for my second one, but price kept going up. Anyway, what I was wondering is how you were able to afford a Haubergeon at 59. With Sniper at 700k, Vagassos at 200k, and Assault at 200k, I'm not sure how I'm going to afford the Haubergeon at 59 for 2.5 mil. All the 55 gear put me back 500k or so. I'm just wondering how you were able to get yours, I need some ideas on how to afford all this by 60. >.<
Worry less about being absolutely perfect and focus more on your rep with other people, just have fairly decent gear and do what you want, if you really dont feel like farming.
