Jei, seriously it looks eaiser than it does to perform. You look at those people playing and when you actually go behind the wheel, its totally different and HARD. I tried doing that parry thing, i cant do it yet, i can do 4 kicks then get slammed.
Oh yeah pman, have sex while playing FFXI.

I like how this thread turned from deciding whether that guy's screen shot is real into people telling us how they do have lives, admist some discussion about martial arts. And now we're talking about Street FighterI love online forums :D

you tab forward instead of backwards at the exact time the attack hits you, and you'll perform an "on-frame" guard where you lose no health (that's a tekken term, i forgot what street fighers call it)
As for what you say "street fighter" terms, a perfect guard (in Capcom vs SNK 2 and the SNK game Garou: Mark of the wolves) is called "Just Defended", where you if you time your block perfectly it will create a white spark, this is was invented by SNK. In Garou, it didn't give back health (if I remember right), but increases your super meter. In CvS2, it gave you back health AND super meter (btw this was only available in K groove).
The Street fighter term for perfect guard is what you call a "parry". This system was invented during the first release of Street Fighter 3, New Generation, which was revamped (since you can also parry just by inputting df even if the opponent jumps at you in New Gen) during Second impact. Second Impact had gay ass bugs and Akuma was too powerful that they re-did the system, changed some bugs, made Akuma playable and corrected some of the supers, and created Street Fighter 3, Third Strike. Now, Third Strike is some what more balance than the first 2 convertions, but then the JPN's created the Urien Aegis reflector trap, the Genei Jin custom combo by Yun and crouching mk+ SA II by Chun-Li and Ken's SA III made the game revolve around those 4 characters (btw SA means Super Arts).
As for that video, it was between Justin Wong (USA's best Marvel vs Capcom 2 player and over all turtler) vs Daigo Umehara (the beast of Japan). If you guys think seeing it on video was crazy, imagine being there and seeing it for yourself. I know I did and still thinking about what happened, makes me laugh to this day. I can't wait for what they have in store this year. I wasn't surprised he parried that super, what made us all jump was the fact that he JUMPED before the last kick, then parries it in the air, as he's falling down, does hk, then goes crouching mk, jab Shoryuken supercancel to SA III giving him enough damage to kill Justin's Chun LOLOLOL. So freaking hillarious.
Going back to the original post, um, Russta's picture says it all so we I guess we can all /cheer for him now.

If the cap when the game in jp was release was 50 or 55 then you had like 6months to get all jobs (only 6) to the cap; not hard. The youve got 6months till next cap to lv them all to 60, Plus lv alot of the new jobs, could get 2-3 to 60 in this time also. Then youve got 6months to get all these to 65 and its not hard getting say the 13job you might now have at 60 to 65 in that time, hell you could prolly even get the other 3 jobs that are like lv50+ to 60-65 at least as well. then youve got half a year to get these all to 70 and another half year to get them to 75. Total 3years of your life wasted but isnt it like a religion in jp neway?75 Mnk Sam | 70 Drk | 40 Blm | 37 Nin Rng Thf War

TV Champion! LOL
Yes they are quite dedicated. Think of how people are dedicated to being Mr. Universe. Or how people dedicate themselves to a sport. Thats basically what gaming is to some JP's. They take it VERY seriously. It's beyond entertainment for them.Originally posted by FebaBut I mean I do not mind a good looking man so long as I do not have to view his penis.Originally posted by TaskmageGod I hate my periods. LOL.
I saw this thread when it was just 1-2 pages old... then I check back a couple days later, and to lazy to read the whole thing, I skip to page 9... I think there's a new world record for the most derailed thread EVER.
I'm gonna go back and read it :D
p.s. I suck at fighting games, but I love Tekken. Law is the shizz :D If you've ever seen someone who's mastered the Drunken Master character... that's something to see.
