CoP, Where's all the new equipment?

Iluv CoP. I Love exploring new areas and doing new quests.

MANY ppl Abuse MMO's by thinking its thje race to 75.

Ask this: what would you like better? 20 areas in game lvl cap 100? or
200 areas in the game and lvl cap 75?

There are actually a few things that were kind dissapointing.

1) Music. I was completely disgusted at the fact that they reused the same music from FFXi/Zilart for CoP mission #2-3. I mean geez, #1-3 pretty much flows together and is pretty much establishes the difference of this new expansion from ffxi/zilart. Not to say that the music sucked. I actually liked the new music (fresh...it'll get old and the winamp will soon be blaring than the T.V.)...they just didn't put enough.

2) No new gadgets or what not for menu screens. Didn't double check but i think it's still the same template for the background. I hoped they would've enhanced the layout and such (i.e. different fonts, letter sizes, upgraded macros and increase amount of macros that you can have, etc.)

3) You still can't search a specific region...ugh....

I think the main problem is that there's not a huge distinction before and after CoP. Of course these are the early days of this expansion and we're not giving the xpac enough time to show its true form. It's just that, IMO, we paid 45 bucks for this game (CDN$), and I feel like the story could've been implemented via huge update instead. I appreciate the new story because so far i'm totally impressed but CoP should've made a big BANG on the people who bought it to make the customers feel that it was WORTH buying the expansion.




Then again I saw something REALLY KEWL in this GAME!!! Carpenter's Guild is an xp haven for beetles. I think level 30ish-40 xp zone?

Uggsomething Range has a few long tunnels which keep lotsa worms and bats (not the ones that does that streaming thing) which I think cons as DC or EP at lv 69. Looks like a good xp place for low-mid lvl 50's.

You can search by regions...

I don't know what the /sea command for it is, but if you just type /sea then when the list is done updating hit enter, should bring up a list of search options (assuming you have the very uppermost entry selected when you hit enter the second time, the area right above the first name on the list should be highlighted), including region.

Give it time.....then you can get mad. Its not going to explode in one night and all our problems are solved.

Im so excited for what this expansion has in store for us....Im going to try and round up and alliance of friends and delve into the emptiness.....this is gonna be great

level 58 and still don't know how this works???? wow. Not a flame, but that "region" only searchs the current region, not a region of your choice. pretty annoying when you aren't in jeuno but want to search all of jeuno.

I am vaguely certain you can from elsewhere... vaguely. Havn't played in two weeks, the game isn't even installed, hard for me to make sure.

No you can't search specific regions except the region you're currently on. It's annoying really when you're xping and you want to find any replacement. You actually have to check every single area in jeuno.

Or, you could just use:

/sea all (job you want) (level-range) inv

That is, if you're looking for a specific replacement. I mean, who cares if there are Warriors seeking in Jeuno when it's your White Mage who's leaving? Skip inv at the end if you also want to bother people that aren't seeking. If the party member in question has a job that can be replaced by several jobs, the job abbreviation is easily replaced for another round of searching.

I'm really not seeing what the problem is. Yeah, specified region searches would be nice to have, but it's not like it's an issue that can't be quite easily circumvented.

The first chapter doesnt use ANY of FFXI / Zilart's music. At least, I think it MAY have used one... but thats it. And CoP is a 'big boom' already, in the first chapter, I have been more challenge than ever. It is very hard compared to the original game/zilart. Also, they are going all out of these. Just about all the new zones -a tiny few are all about this. Lastly they have a huge amount of models just used for missions(more than 7 )
