CoP, Where's all the new equipment?

I'm pretty glad I didn't buy the expansion if there are no new items that aren't already on Mysterytour.

The claimed to bring many many new items in with this expansion, but I am still waiting for even one item that is a "must have". There is one good item and it's the BLM robe...what a let down IMO.

Ok, sure, there are new sights to see and new places to grind, and yeah, new quests to keep your mind off of the fact that you still have to grind 8769 more hours, but no new improved items? Little trinkets that give you signet, OH YAY, just what we needed!

Am I alone in being disappointed? I can't imagine so.

My preorder copy hasn't come in, yet, so I haven't been able to explore and run around - but I expected I would have seen far more new items in the Jeuno AH than what I've seen. I'm a little disapointed, so far.

An expansion without a new job or race was the biggest dissapointment for me. Let alone the same freaking cap.

Even though I hate EQ, at least they get decent Expansions.

EQ hasn't had a good expansion since Velious, unless you count LDoN.

Omens of War isn't any better, the only reason people are hyped about it is because uber-omg gear that rapes Vex Thall / EP items drops off one-groupable monsters. For the non-EQ-inclined, think about what would happen if god / Dynamis drops were put on regular monsters you XP off of in Chains of Promathia.

And Bigokk, they're still adding things in for CoP. It's not all in-game yet.

Square seems to be good at adding real, legit content, rather than the fluffy cotton candy that Sony continuously throws at their subsribers such as new level caps and jobs. There's more to these games than new jobs and level caps, sorry.

like more boring quests? 90% of the equipment coming in this expansion will be "useless" (in the end, people only want the UBER equipment). The only thing good about this expansion is the new areas... but still, you can only do so much exploring before youve pretty much explored the whole place. Maybe if Emptiness is good/fun, then it might be worth it... otherwise, no need to get CoP cause everyone has access to the new items/equipment.

FFS LDoN was the worst expansion in recent memory for EQ, it was freaken worse then GoD in my Books, Horray, you can

A. Farm PoTime for another 6 months

or

B. Do sucky buggy probably not working raid instances that leave out half your guild (because the last expansion required 50+ people to complete and now this one is 32? max) that just ends up having over 50% of the drops rot because they are useless.

LDoN is what lead me to purchase FFXI in the first place.

I guess im just bitter with EQ because the enchanter class is useless now, well all it has been for the last few expansions is a buff bot. FFS happy I quit EQ, and smashed my CDs, and probably will give away my account.

FFXI is at least looking interesting again, but WoW is keeping me from going back.

FFS the only thing I miss about EQ is my guild, Hoss on Druzzil Ro, but luckly I can still keep in touch with my friends from it via the guildboard hehe, while making new friends in WoW.

I cannot wait for my CoP expansion. I will love everything about it especially the exploring part. So who the hell cares that they did not introduce another job, big freakin deal. SoP is gonna be awesome.

do you really need a new lvl cap? seriously, there's a TON of stuff to do from lvls 1-74. and if you sig is any indication, you're no where near the cap.

no new jobs = good. plenty as it is.

no they won't. someone gets convert at lvl freakin 80. heh, dear lord its lvl 80!!!!!!! doesn't change anything, there would be 79 lvls where they don't have it.

I appreciate those boring quests, sorry man. I appreciate that "useless" gear. I'm not playing this mafah for the endgame - if I wanted to play a game for endgame I'd be playing EQ or drooling over WoW.

If you're sick of what's already IN the game, WTF do you want new jobs and a new level cap? That's the same crap you've BEEN experiencing since the day you installed.

CoP and new gear are two seperate things.

That is to say, while some of the new gear may only be obtained in the new areas, whether you have purchased and installed CoP is irrelivant (except maybe for EX items). If an item can be sold at the AH, it has to be available to anyone, whether they have purchased CoP or not.
