And for someone who started a rant thread on how bad CoP is, it's just lame to use "Games < Life" as an arguement to try and put down other people. You're the one who started the arguement. Almost as if this is a trolling thread in disguise >.<.
I used to be a hardcore powergamer when I played EQ. I graduated college, got a job, got married and had a child all within my last year of EQ. I wasn't neglecting my son since about their first year, babies sleep 18 hours a day. I still had plenty of time for gaming. As my son got older, my gaming time dwindled down to almost nil (10 hours a week).
Then I quit EQ because out of those 10 hours, I did the same thing over and over. I was max level, gear maxed out, AA points all gathered for everything I wanted and all I did was do long boring "quests" (killing previous boss mobs for guildmates so they could accomplish the things I already have accomplished).
It got boring waiting for the next expansion to be released so I quit when FFXI was released.
There are many things that I love about FFXI, I don't hate the game. However, it does appear as though I'm ranting on how bad this expansion is for anyone who doesn't like to quest. The reality is that I am having a hard time logging on at all knowing that I only have a few options.
1. Make a 3-4 hour slot in my busy schedule so I can get the last 15k I need to make 63.
2. Make a 3-4 hour slot in my busy schedule so I can gain Rank 7.
3. Level up a new job so I can solo for an hour here and there when time permits.
4. Farm
Problem with 1 and 2, a 3-4 hour slot comes once a week. Saturday nights between 10pm-2am. Not many people are on at that time like they were in EQ. Cerberus tends to be dead on the weekends after 10pm.
Problem with 3, once I get to a certain point, I will start needing the 3-4 hour slots again so it doesn't really solve anything.
Problem with 4, farm for what? No new gear to keep my interrest until level 70. I am 10+ levels (70+ XP hours) away from having to worry about gil for Tarbazin or Juggernaut and I already have a mil rotting in the bank.
It has been said a billion times: no one has killed a single CoP HNM yet... hell... only a handful of NMs Id say... so WTF you talking about? What do you know, that I don't that will give you this crap.
I know that not 100% on Mysterytour is correct, but I tend to think that after 7 days, he would have updated the equipment if there were more items.
The only way this is possible is that SE did not release all of the equipment yet. IMO this is the only acceptable reason for the lack of items. I hope they are not following in the footsteps of SoE by releasing expansions before they are finished.
Plus... if you play this game as a race... on day you will run out of a carrots... look back and say "Wow I missed so many things... why the hell did I just do that?".

I'm not racing to anything though. Every level I get, if there is a piece of gear that I can use and is an upgrade, I will farm for it before I go back to leveling again. New gear makes me look forward to leveling again, then I test, parse, calculate results and report what I find to my fellow Warriors (you can see all the work I've done in the Warrior forums).
Some people like having fun with new quests (as posted in some replies) and I like having fun with new gear. Why are some of you trying to make it seem like there's something wrong with that?
Now that you have more information than you ever wanted to know about me, I'm sorry to report that you cannot have the minutes of your life back you spent reading this post.
Have a nice night.

) I want a new outfit! The Scorp harness look be damned.
