Foamingpanda- I agree that the game takes forever to do certain things i.e levelling, completing some of the harder missions, doing quests, making gil. But as someone said before SE is doing it solely to make money. Its what every other MMORPG developer is doing or trying to do. They dont make money we dont get to play the game. If you are that frustrated about how long things take then you should leave the genre altogether.

Ok your rant about PTs being sucky and how great you are is a load of BS. First of all do you really think that the playerbase of FFXI at this point is any different then the playerbase that existed at the same point in time in EQ. Look people are still new to the game. Give it another three months and things will be flowing much better.

If your character profile is correct and you are truely a lvl. 40 BRD/WHM you should never at any point be looking for a party. If it takes you hours and hours to find a group then you must have a terrible reputation either as a player or as a person. Cause on my server you would be snapped up as soon as your seek flag went up. Im a Black Mage and I get tells all the time from NA and Japanese alike asking me to group with them. If you are complaining about this there must be something wrong with you.

Leadership may be your sole problem with party dynamics. Next to WHM I think BRD is a job that you need to be a leader. You are controlling the pace of combat. People need to stand where you tell them. How well your party does has more to do with you then anything else just about. Yes a bad puller can screw things up but it is your job to tell them to speed it up, pull something harder, or slow it down. A good leader is what every party needs. I have had my share of bad parties but as I have progressed higher up (past lvl. 30) I have found that everyone knows or has a good understanding of how things need to be done to succeed. I take it upon myself to show people things can be done even quicker or more efficiently. If you are such a good player then you should be able to improve the people around you. The only people that wont listen are the people that are total aholes. Honestly there are not that many total aholes around. Unfortunately for you, you may be one of them and that is why you are having so many problems with groups. Sorry but hearing people complaining about crappy players or crappy parties annoys me. I have very few problems with parties and I believe that it is because I dont have a problem leading a group and also have the patience to try and help people. If you dont like the playerbase then try to improve it dont come here and cry about it.

It's quite obvious Blizzard attract the worst teenager out there.I have played enough of their game online to know this.Never saw so many wannabe white supremacist and homophobic jerk.Sexist pig,annoying little **** and elitist who would blast you because they couldn't take a loss(in team game in WC III)

Anyway,FF XI is very popular among teen so of course the player base will be younger but that's not a bad thing in my mind.I have seen plenty of cool tenn player in this game.I learn to adapt and all goes well.I also see plenty of older gamer which is cool with me.

Yes,there is bad player but most of them do not make it past Qufim.They simply leave the game in frustration because their lack of skill make it so they cannot get into parties and they can't solo anything.This is all part of natural selection so give it some time and everything will be fine.Most noob will smarten up and realize they have to improve if they want to play the game.

The worst part is that I will have to do this all over again in World of Warcraft.In a game which will have the worst community ever for this kind of game

The game is what you make of it basically. If you constantly wait for other people to give you a good time, you'll probably never have one. I know it would take time, but you should consider making your own linkshell. That way you control who gets to be a part of it. Pick people that support your style of play. I probably wouldn't like this game as much as I do if not for my LS. Crappy parties are disappointing, but things will pick up. Stick around a little while longer.

Best thing to do is form a static group with people who are players you can rely on. I have one that started about a week ago and we are making the best out of the time we get to play together. Aside from the people in my Linkshell (we all have known each other from other games and have a knack for MMOG things), who are some of the best people to ever group with, this group which started out as a pickup group, is on levels which we expect from our LS members.

It's all about less pickup, more regular grouping. As a bard, I understand the pain you feel. You are a class that is wanted by ALL. Hell, I wish I had a bard with me all the time, the downtime with them is non-existant! That's something else though, anyways...

It's time to find some competent players and surround yourself with some people who actually have skill. I know people from my old DAoC server play there, they came from Palomides. not sure what their Shell is called, but ask around, you never know. They are people I reccomend hanging out with.

But since you all still seem to consider grouping with an unbalanced PT that issue won't resolve itself from alone.
