2. As I said before, I have every right to criticize key flaws in FFXI. If you can't handle the truth, or refuse to acknowlage it -- just go back to chasing the carrot.

3. Anyone who is giving the, "PLZ DUDE U MUST GO FIND PPPLZ 2 PT" you obviously haven't progressed very far in the game. Anyone who frequently plays FFXI pick up style knows that WHM's are more rare than a well spoken Counter Strike player.

It's not really my fault people post random garbage that floors the valid discussion of a topic. Absense to life would take the unessesary flood of garbage away, but anyway... I'm in two LS's that revolve around a high level static group. There is a huge difference in conducting yourself in game, and ranting on a random message board. Another huge problem with FFXI, is the amount of tolerance you must exhert to function in the world.

The FFXI world tolerates shitty players, people who don't what they're doing, and a really cookie cutter counter-strike player like personality. Do you know how much you want to just smack idiots who seem to plauge groups? Why? They deserve to be smacked around a little bit, or at least informed of what they're doing wrong. Either of these can lead to a swift kick out of the group, even though you're right. I'm sure any effienct player with pick up group experince is well aware of this.

meiyu Since ur in my Server, is it hard for you to find grps? Im getting mad now! I go to crawlers nest and I Cant get a grp cuz its Japanese only! That is rude! Just because You aint JP You cant join a party! I think It was a bad idea integrating JP players with NA players. Not all JP players are considered mean but Only Partying with ur nationality is Rude to others. Once i was in a grp and we invited ppl rather NA or JP We didnt give a hoot either! somtimes EQ seemed better Finding a pt.

I wished They had NA servers only and JP servers only. It would be better in my eyes. If you wait 3 hours on avg waitn for a grp, it's sad. And also Lessing ur chances of joining one cuz U arent "JP" so Your not allowed in. You really can't blame japanese players who have been playing this game for over a year to be a little snappy at most of the NA player base. Though there are good NA players out there, they are usually exposed to the worst of the crop. You know? The type that stands in Jeuno and spams "CAN NE1 HELP ME /w SAM JOB QUEST?" in say by the lower AH. I think relations with japanese players will improve over time, but probably not by too much.

I enjoy 11, i played EQ and enjoyed it, but anyone saying 11 doesnt have any problems is wrong.

Anytime someone points out something wrong with 11 on these boards everyone just says "quit" or "stop whining". People can point out negative parts of a game, its how they get better,and how others can make an informed decision if they want to buy the game or not.

Too many peopel defend this game tooth and nail, as if someone saying something negative about something they enjoy is a personal attack, its not.

As for the original post some is right some is wrong, EQ was better (i guess you could argue better or worse) in that idiots quickly found themselves unwelcome in any groups at all. Leveling in EQ was not faster tho, it could be, but leveling can go very fast in 11 if you get a consistent PT (like a guild group) or a JP pt.

And it is gonna get worse when the PS2 version launches.

So if you enjoy the game try to find a steady group of good players to PT with, or a good LS, or go BST. If not it can suck.

Hey Nexxxus - nope, it really isn't hard for me to find groups. I tend to group with LS members, and we recruit others into our groups to get to know others. It's much easier to deal with jp players, by the way, if you don't use acronyms. Stuff like ur, wut, plz, cuz, ppl - it doesn't fly with them. Piece of advice? Put your group emotes macroed using TAB - helps people, both na and jp, out a bit. I have yet to have a problem grouping with a jp player.

This being said I'm with Deedlit. I'm no longer feeding the "Troll"...But I feel troll is the wrong word. Over-dramatic, pessamistic, self-righteous weenie is more appropriate.

Any threat of physical violence over the internet should always, and obviously be taken as a joke.The problem isn't dealing with Japense players. It's quite easy to use the transelator. The problem lies within the fact that about 1/2 of the JPN player base bitterly hates NA players. I can't blame them too much tho =P.

Be my guest Rev. I really don't enjoy reading posts that are ridicuously off topic nor add anything to the discussion. It makes things much more civilized, at the very least. I guess a 'troll' is someone who makes any post that doesn't ask some sort of easily look-uped question or a random thread about how much tarus rock.


The PS2 version will burn a scar of ignorance and stupidity across the player base of this game that will never be erased. All is lost and despair!
