thanks to the fatigue system, 18 to 24 months to cap digging is very likely. using a raised chocobo bred for digging will make an impact, however.

i just hit A20 and it took me over 3 months of everyday digging to fatigue to go from a25 to a20.

What's this jazz about a chocobo title? I've got level 4 or 5 digging and have never seen a title gained from chocobo digging.

i'm a35 digger, which is journeyman rank. i always carry wind crystals and bundling twine with me to convert mahongany, ebony, and rosewood logs into lumber (important to turn non-stackable into stackable if possible). my skill is too low to turn petrified logs into lumber (as i opted to do bonecraft). I know just about every high level digger that digs in the jungle on a regular basis do the exact same thing. I also turn all other profitable logs other than oak and elm into lumber. I usually turn Elm Logs into Bast Parchment, and either use the Oak to make Warp Cudgels or sell "as is" in Jeuno (oak lumber stacks, for some reason, sell for loss).

(When it comes to digging up logs, all logs dug up other than lauan, willow, and holly are good digs. Maple Logs can be turned into maple sugar for big profits if Sandy is 3rd place in conquest, and Ash/Arrowwood Lumber is used for ammo which almost always sells for a good bit of change.)

an a35 digger in the jungles will pull up more logs than an a55 or a60 digger in the same area, over the same period of time. Also, the Jungles have a good reload rate on the logs, the other zones that have the same logs have a very crappy reload rate.

That 800k result - what was your digging rank when you did that, and how many hours did it take you to finish the stacks?

Maybe the jungles get dug out more on my server, but when I go there, I never get that many of the logs you mentioned.

i use 60 woodworking skill with lumberjack key item to turn the logs into lumber

ebony lumber is 150k a stack, rosewood and maghonagy lumber is 100k/stack

i usually bazaar the petrified logs in sandy by carpenters guild before i go to bed, along with lumber thats either in partial stacks or waiting to go on AH. by the time i wake up, all the petrified logs are sold, and the maghongany/rosewood lumber is sold too. ebony lumber usually sells within a day of putting on the AH.

You are quite right about that. And for all the lazy people that don't want to do indepth research, may they get what they deserve.

But what I was originally angle-ing at was that you post a link here to the other thread you started where you are posting more current information. And hopefully if anyone else feels the urge to contribute, they'll do so as well.

youre taking it all wrong, the first part is old, is why i am saying this, the thread has since displayed a lot of accurate information, but alot of people are too lazy to read a whole thread and will just read the first page or even jsut the first post.

Ozy, did you look at the date of the post? Probably not. Within the three years since that post alot has been learned about how digging works, we both know that. Some of us diggers prefer to keep our notes to ourselves, but if you feel it's necessary to belittle a three year old post, then by all means post updated and accurate information.
