Will NA players ever compete with haijins on the same level?

It will take a long while for NA to compete with JPN Haijins. NA are still dependent on JPN, e.g. importers like us are still joining JPN organised Dynamis trips. NA players frequently using tab menu to ask JPN for help, I cant understand y?

Someone mention AF3 NM are easy, ya that is becos, NA players are asking high lvl for help.

It pretty hard to catch up, first off, can anyone name me one importers or NA player who have goldsmith skill 100. It is so tough to catch up.

i agreed with wat Awntawn says, try geting the relics and cursed equip for ur friends! btw, Awntawn overtook my lvl.

lemme just say, Haijins HNM LS are focused and united. they know what they wanna get/ do.
Most NA and importers are just trying to enjoy the game. To compete takes a lot more

The current haijins on my server have never played an MMORPG seriously in their lives. FFXI is the first truly appealing MMO to reach Japan and they love it.

You said it yourself. NA MMORPGer's have tons more experience with the MMORPG genre as a whole. So don't give that crap that experience doesn't matter, of course it does. We didn't walk into this game not knowing what a mob was, or the proper definition of aggro, zoning, player established economies and other crap was. NA players will dominate this game, give it 1-2 years.

So you "High-jin" players, get off your pedestals now, or you'll be dethroned rather quick and rudely. The original topic was "Do you think that NA players will ever compete with haijins on the same level?" Well the simple answer is no, they won't be competing on the same level, because they will be way ahead of whatever a puny haijin LS could ever do.

First of all... no1 said that they will amount to nothing. Razz was just pointing out the fact that it WILL be hard to make up 2 years worth of time. It has absolutely nothing to do with play-skill.. and no-body said it did. You definately should read the other posts before you decide to reply.. I have a feeling you just read the title

I read all the posts before i post my own thoughts. It's just sickening for the importers to always have in their fat heads that NA's are always inferior. Don't even try to deny it, just have a quick glance at half the topics on this forum and that's proof enough.

- Rank 10 Sandoria, soon to be R10 bastok & windurst.

- Raided dynamis a few times.

Haha just about to say that myself^^. I know NA'ers(all brds lol) who already have 2x my playtime in the 6 months they had the game then i have gotten in almost 2 years. And I play ALOT imo... some of these people need to visit mr.sun.

Look teejay, no one is sterotyping NAs, the Japanese have a TWO YEAR ADVANTAGE. Just because the NAs have uber experience in MMOs doesnt mean the Japanese dont have a chance. If there is a time where the NAs have time to catch up(i.e. nothing new for a few months), they would be able to compete, no one would beat the hell out of another. I believe they will end up evening out. I'm hoping for that, because then the JPs who wont invite you with a romaji/tab keyed comment will get it through their fucking heads that the majority of NAs above level 40 dont suck.

Enjoyment from a game means different from one person to the next. witch is why you have their your "hardcore gamer" and the "weeeee(fun)" gamer


we are all here to have fun one way or another, and i have been in a all NA party that was great, it was as good was the one NA/JP party i was in(that was alot of fun did that for hours in dunes[wow dunes i know])

edit: Teejay, haijin means 'cripple' I believe that babelfish translates it as retard. But it means someone who doesnt move, so, someone who doesn't stop playing the game.

When i started the game I remeber seeing there being a few different teirs in my ls. There were the lvl 60's that were bored at the lvl cap or were running around doing some high lvl content. The lvl 50's runing around getting their af. The mid lvl players that were running around lvling up. Now those mid lvl players are lvl 75 and running around doing missions with the people I have never even seen out of their af.

There is a cap its very possible to finish all the important content or the content you care to finish. While the JPN are sitting around pollishing their relic armor, the na players we be putting their newly obtained af's to the test. Also lets not forget how the hardcore NA players got where they are. They got there by teaming and working with the JPN(for the most part). I feel that it wont be a problem of which group is better but what happens when they start working together.

Oh I understand. I'm not like the rest of the milling morons that hang around and suck the high level's dicks in hopes they'll get them to kill thier AF bosses for them.

I'm also rank 3 still, why? Because I'd rather do it with my LS and not have to rely on (| Help me out!|) So far it's worked well, although slowly, since I've spent the last month and a half farming gil to fund my later spells and equipment.

I have more then enough skill to figure out what to do when I reach the higher levels, I like a challenge and can't wait to get there and see what RDM can do with it's full range of spells and abilities
