Basically Youtube has Automated copyright claims via a content matching system that has pretty much been destroying a lot of legitimate content on Youtube. The main three: Nintendo, Sega and Capcom are up to their usual antics but even more crap is going on because it automatically flags content regardless of how it is used so people making legitimate reviews are getting the shaft hard.

I have no sympathy at all for the people hopping on the LP bandwagon. That bubble was going to burst sooner or later. But a LOT of channels, huge channels like PewDiePie, Polaris Network (AngryJoeShow, Presshearttocontinue, CynicalBrit, OMFGCATA etc), Yogscast, Jimquisition etc are losing out here because legitimate review content is being flagged.
One notable thing that people are be caught out on are cutscenes and music. That is easy to flag up and match. The main issue here is that they are two things integral to the game experience and are kind of required to properly put into context and explain what it is that you are showing. It's a really shitty thing to be doing as well as the majority of these legit content cretors are using trailers and B-Reels that are put out everywhere for people to use in reviews, but this is what is letting publishers flag up people for copyright violation.
Publishers are massively shooting themselves in the foot here. The channels being hit by this are very influential in the games industry. If they can't honestly review the Triple A game, they will go to the indie devs, you know, the people that know that this kind of coverage is great for the industry. Google really needs to do something now toe protect the content creator. These are the kinds of channels that bring in millions in ad revenue for them, and if they go elsewhere, it's going to be a big blow to Youtube.
