Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Here's that section with Tretton:
P.S. Fuck Microsoft for their trailblazing charging for online multiplayer. Even as a happy PS+ subscriber, that is totally unnecessary.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Yeah it's a nitpick at best honestly, especially that's money I was previously dumping on Xbox Live. And it's not entirely unreasonable either, I mean all that network crap doesn't come cheap, and like you said, at least Sony actually rewards customer loyalty.
I still can't figure out how MS managed to go Full Retard.

No DRM. Stated by Jack Tretton on stage to thunderous applause.Originally posted by cidbahamut View PostSounds like Sony played their cards right. Any further word on whether or not they're implementing any DRM schemes?
Also there's this thing of beauty:

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
The more apt (and less base) metaphor is MS brought a knife to a gunfight.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Not literally, but Jack Tretton basically just listed off 1 after the other all the bullshit MS is doing with XB1 and said "Yeah, we're not doing that crap."

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Sony definitely had a stronger presentation than MS, mostly the right focus, better software and a better price point.
My only quibbles were the very weak coverage of Vita (again) and they still really didn't make a compelling case for Gaikai. They did thankfully keep the "social" and "sharing" rubbish to a minimum, though.
I still don't really see the need to own a PS4 at launch, though. Seems all the real action is from Spring 2014 onward.

$399/399 EUR/349 pounds for PS4.
Game over, Microsoft. Sony just won this generation.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Sony's conference is good so far, but the media app lipservice bit laughably bad. Doesn't matter how many times you say its "for gamers," its lip service.

Lococycle (Twisted Pixel)
Ryse (Crytek)
Quantum Break (Remedy)
Below (Capybara)
Titanfall (Respawn) <- ending your presser on this, Microsoft? Really?
Killer Instinct (Double Helix)
Black Tusk Project / unnamed (Black Tusk Studios)
Project Spark (unknown studio)
Crimson Dragon (Grounding) <- Hah! I knew it!
Halo 5 (343 Industries) <- of course
(At least on my part.)
