So you're advocating there be a minimum standard that ISPs are required to provide to customers in order to stay in business or what?

You're doing a very poor job of articulating what your argument is.

Again, you are acting like you can get a 1.5MB connection speed no matter where you are in the world. I can get acceptable speeds for everyday use in my hometowm. However 2 hours away in the Cambrian Mountains, people are still having to deal with dial up speeds.

Recommending those speeds? Nothing wrong with that. Demanding those speeds or you can't use the product that you bought? Yeah you're going to be getting people just saying "fuck this shit" and go elsewhere, like say turning to pirates and hackers or just buying a PS4 or Wii U. Not just that, you are damn close to deliberately selling a defective product which is frankly criminal.

And they never will if we don't start bumping up our standards. I don't understand the opposition, here. Graphical power in video games have been increasing since its inception, which requires us to update our hardware. Nobody is catering to that guy still running DOS. It needs to be the same way with internet connections.

This has nothing to do with my argument.

So far Fairy is confirmed to be Super Effective vs Dragons and weak vs Poison. Poison types being buffed alone is going to be great, though that does mean more Chlorophyll abusing Venusaurs online. That said Ice is a good offensive type anyway (so doesn't need to be strong vs Fairy), so Ice resisting Fairy wouldn't be a horrible move. It would make a couple more Ice Types viable in Standard Play if it gained a new resistance.

It's not like you can't turn them off, just like you've been able to turn off Star Men, Bob-Ombs, Heart Containers, Hammers, Home Run Bats...

After seeing the video, Wii Fit Trainer is not as retarded as I thought it would be. I doubt even a single soul asked for her, but I'm fine with that. That aside I'm still not convinced Smash Bros will be reasonably playable on regular 3DS. That screen's tiny.

I'm hyped to see Azumarill getting some love with Fairy type and Dragons being put in their place, but I think I would've preferred that they revise the old types over adding a new one. Ice is still like the most horrible defensive type ever.

Even Steam knows how retarded requiring a constant connection is and lets me play offline if I want to play single player games.

For the same reason people push for increasing minimum wage, it's about quality of life. Eventually we wont support 480p anymore, either. If people want to sit in the past they shouldn't buy a new console.

It probably has something to do with Kinect and snooping and whatnot.

Adding fuel to the fire. Xbox One has a 1.5 mbps requirement for internet connections. A steady 1.5 for your online checks may not sound bad, but it shouldn't even require that much bandwidth to do a check like that.

LOL @ Wii Fit Trainer. That's some PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale level of janky roster choice. It's funny, but cringe-worthy.

I doubt Titanfall will show up on Steam (it's published by EA so I'll say it's coming to Origin).

Anecdotally, I'm still seeing a lot of social media ripples from Monday's sheninigans for Microsoft and Sony. Seeing a number of my die-hard Xbox friends say they're only getting a PS4 over Facebook and Twitter, though there are a few Xbox holdouts and OCD completionists. Still, some of the people I'm seeing realignment on are heavily invested in the Xbox ecosystem, so it's not just the people on the less affluent only-buys-one-game-a-year fringe that Microsoft is losing thus far in this console cycle. One entire circle of my friends on Facebook looks likely to completely switch over (to the point where they're talking about friends lists, etc.). I don't know how prevalent this is, however; I'm sure there are plenty of Xbox 360 owners who just aren't clued in yet - and may never be until they take the box home with them and find out for themselves.
