It was cute for the first 24 hours, but I'm really getting sick of this shorthand.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Big storm hit yesterday in my state so with all the power-outages, downed trees and power-lines the midnight launch for The Last of Us at Gamestop was pretty much a waste, Had that not been the case I would have loved to poll for some reactions to Xbone myself, but that'st the biggest game to warrant a midnight around here til Madden.
Some teen did come in there today and pre-order Xbone, though. I died a little on the inside.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Huh? Much as I hate the XBONE, the sharing thing is weird - do they mean between the 2 homes, or within the same home? I'm only asking because you can have up to 10 family members playing the same games on their systems. If this is some neighbors/friends etc loaning discs, then yeah they're SoL.
EDIT: I just got my PS4 pre-order today, and I mean just barely. I don't know about the rest of Canada, but at least here in Ottawa literally every EB/Gamestop & Futureshop/Best Buy location is near or at max capacity for pre-orders. Hardly any XBONE orders either - a friend of mine was also ordering his Ps4 today and the guy at the counter jokingly asked "Here to pre-order your Xbox One?" and everyone in the store burst into laughter.
GG no RE Microsoft.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Pretty much. I went to GameStop for the midnight launch of The Last of Us last night and asked the crew there how many of their pre-orders were accounted for. Like many GameStops, they got roughly three times the PS4 pre-order limit compared to Xbox One, and while they couldn't tell me exactly how many of each they'd sold thus far, their PS4 pre-order slots (there were 26 PS4 pre-order slots to my recollection when I ordered mine there on Wednesday, and I was #21), they did say they hadn't run out of Xbox One pre-orders. Since there were ~26 slots for PS4, that leaves somewhere between 8-10 Xbox One pre-orders, and they said they were in no danger of running out of those any time soon.Originally posted by Omgwtfbbqkitten View PostMS has created something so terrible only the painfully naive want it.
Also had an amusing conversation with the PS3 owners there to pick up The Last of Us; most had heard about what happened at E3 and were very vocal in their opposition to the Xbox One, even those that were PS360/PS360Wii multiconsole owners. Granted, these are some of the most avid gamers you'll find if they're doing a midnight launch, but Sony's definitely got the PR spin right when the most neutral die-hard buyers are aligned behind them.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
Because E3 has shown Wii U to also be a better product than Xbox One.Why is Microsoft worried about Nintendo anyway?
While I don't consider really Sony and MS to compliment each other, some people will get the other as a complimentary console. Xbone is losing consideration for even that and the ground they've lost on the consumer front means gains for Nintendo to become that complimentary console in Xbone's stead. Most hardcore gamers would have seen Wii U as that anyway, but not everyone does.
I spoke with two fathers today when I was getting my oil changed, both had gotten 360s for each of their two kids because they could be occupied with them and share games. With the ability to share taken away, Xbox One is no longer even a consideration for their households because the ability to share games mattered that much (and probably reduced some fights among the children, I imagine). Sony and Nintendo are now their best options.
The only people that still care about Xbox One are the 14 year-old CoD player and dudebros, everyone else has exited the camp. Even your hardcore-Madden/NBA2k-otherwise-causal gamers have disregarded Xbox One because they do a lot of borrowing and used purchases.
MS has created something so terrible only the painfully naive want it.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
I was going to say that Microsoft of 2013 has turned into Sony of 2005, but even Sony was never quite this sleazy. That's mind-bogglingly bad. Why is Microsoft worried about Nintendo anyway? They've got bigger fish to fry (PS4)...Originally posted by Armando View PostIs this for real? Is M$ for real?

Twitter from E3:

Note for reference: photo-gazers have guesstimated that what is running "Xbox One" games on the E3 show floor are Win7 PCs with Nvidia GTX 7xxs. Which is pretty crazy... why would you use Nvidia hardware - even on a PC - to simulate for a platform that uses AMD graphics tech?
I can understand the need to come up with lots of display rigs that can get the job done, but at least use the same architecture so that it doesn't do things like... crash to the Windows 7 desktop.
ALSO: F'ing lol that even Microsoft doesn't consider Win8 to be stable enough for their flagship mission-critical display of their new console, even acting as the "man behind the curtain".

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
New Pokemon screenshots have me excited. Not only can you fight swarms of Pokemon but you can also fight swarms of pokemon of different species.
Also my predictions for that the starters evolve into type wise:
Chespin = Either Grass/Fighting or Grass/Ground
Fennekin = Either Pure Fire or Fire/Flying for the Flying Fox jokes.
Froakie = Water/Psychic

Dead Rising 3 is more 'mature, sophisticated' - Destructoid
Really, Capcom? Maturity and sophistication were not what Dead Rising was about.
Dead Rising is suppose to be funny on purpose.
Resident Evil is the serious one that happens to be funny by accident.

Re: E3 2013 Schedule
So, getting back on topic:
Sony Raises Its Sales Forecast For PlayStation 4 - IGN
- - - Updated - - -To many gamers, Sony’s PlayStation 4 won E3 2013 decisively, with a competitive price, no used games restrictions, no online connection requirement, and a slew of games. And it’s apparently showing in the strong pre-order numbers for the console.
In a conversation with the Wall Street Journal, such a response was seemingly unexpected, and as such, Sony has increased its sales forecast as a result.
“Sony Corp is raising internal sales projections for the forthcoming PlayStation 4 videogame console amid positive signs about demand for the device,†according to the WSJ.
Unfortunately for those that didn’t pre-order early, however, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House admitted that “demand may well outstrip supply.†GameStop echoed this “sentiment†to the Wall Street Journal.
Did you pre-order a PlayStation 4? How about an Xbox One? Or are you waiting to see more before putting your hard-earned money on the counter?
