Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Tonight in Skyrim:
Level 29
Completed the College of Winterhold questline
Up to the point in the main story where I got to look for Alduin's Wall
Found Mjoll the Lioness's sword and made her my follower. Ugh, she talks a lot.
Became Thane of Winterhold. Not that it means much, seeing as it hardly counts as a town and there isn't even a house to buy.
EDIT: Then again, if you become a student at the College, you do get a dormitory. And if you finish the quest line, you get housing that doubles as a magical workshop.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Tonight in Skyrim:
A showdown with Otar the Mad. And by "showdown" I mean "lots of kicking and screaming and running the hell away".
Dragon priests wielding lightning are absolutely brutal against a mixed build like the one I'm currently running. They chew through my summons in no time flat and I can't approach them because those lightning blasts will take me down just as fast. The Grey Beards are some sadistic practical jokers to send me after a word wall behind a Dragon Priest as my very first one. I ended up unlocking Otar and then just dashing to the word wall and then high-tailing it out of there while my frost atronach kept him distracted. Here's hoping Otar doesn't find his way to the surface any time soon.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Tonight in Skyrim:
Thalmor stupidity at it's best.
A Thalmor Justiciar saw me (the Thalmor Slaughterer of Skyrim) shout a Blood Dragon to death. His reaction? Walk up to me and try to order me to leave while trying to look as menacing as possible weapon drawn and all.
He spent his last moments in Skyrim frozen to the bone dying a very, very slow and painful death.Last edited by Raydeus; 02-02-2012, 08:40 PM.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
I'm on 360, it just looks like I'm on the PS3 version because I took the picture with my iPhone >.>
I am shouting a dead dragon off a cliff since the game won't give me its soul and after looting it it was really just a giant rubber chicken. I had killed it before in this place, but the game spawned a new one for a bounty so I guess I can't get a second soul from the duped one.
Oddly the treasure chest at the word wall had been refilled with stuff, too.Last edited by Omgwtfbbqkitten; 02-02-2012, 07:59 PM.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Today in Skyrim:
I cleaned up after the incompetence of the leadership in Solitude and prevented a horrible Necromancer from returning to Skyrim after 500 years. What would they do without me?
The battles are getting sillier. I'm not even all that decked out but I can just sit a few yards back and send in a nearly endless wave of Atronachs until a horde of enemies is wittled down to a more manageable size. Once I get my Enchanting maxed I could very well have a literally limitless supply of mooks to hurl at my enemies. My sword arm hasn't gotten rusty yet though, so it's all good.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Aww, you are playing on a PS3. I was going to recommend the Eisen (yup XI's Eisen) armor mod for your char. It looks pretty sweet.
PS > I'm seriously considering working on a RDM mod for Skyrim.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Here's my Dovahkin after downing the latest dragon.
I'm sort of glad a lot of the quested armor I go for has common stats, thought I obviously dropped the Old God body piece for Savior's Hide. Still, it looks nice with the Old God boots and hands.
Aaaand an uppity little fox just decided to attack me. I guess this as good a time as any for some free Light armor skillups and to work on Restoration.Last edited by Omgwtfbbqkitten; 02-02-2012, 07:22 PM.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Today in Skyrim...
-Got a few levels and found I can now upgrade armor to "Superior" via Smithing. Also can do a couple of stronger Enchantments so trying to upgrade from my current "Fine" Scale Armor. Can't just buy them anywhere though because I don't have enough Smithing skill/perks to make them myself.
- I think I'm definitely going to try a kind of Stealth Mage. Was just doing a raid on a bandit grotto and was killing people with Lightning Bolts while in Stealth. Was very amused when I would be picking off these bandits 1 by 1 and they would keep on dismissing it as just their imagination.
- Fought my first Dragon Priest. Stupid bitch was annoying. Kept flying away from me while shooting Fireballs.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Active Effects is the section of the menu. If anything has a constant effect on you, that's where you find it. Blessings, however, fade over time and eventually expire and disappear from the menu.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
When you use the bathroom does it burn? Actually you go into your Spells menu section and there's a tab that shows you all the positive (armor, weapons, blessings, etc) and negative (diseases) enchantments you have affecting your character. I can't remember what the tab is called at the moment. But it will show up in red if it is a disease. All you have to do is pop a Cure Disease potion or get blessed at a shrine to get rid of them.Originally posted by Mezlo View Post...also, how do you know if you have a disease?
