After that Angel Soft Toilet Paper fiasco, they've lost all credibility (if they even had any to begin with) Now these troubled teens and pre-adolescents need to get back on the front page ahead of Japan and Libya pulling off stuff like this. I just hope most everyone will have the sense to just /ignore them and get on with their lives. That's the only true way to destroy their "power" since I've yet to see them really have the courage to take on much more difficult and worthwhile pursuits, like stopping genocide in Africa, among other things.
I want to see Anonymous, every last one of those mother fuckers locked in jail.
What Julian did was questionable but also mostly legal IIRC. These guys on the other hand, are committing vigilantism. There are reasons why we have sanctioned law enforcement instead of cocky, self-righteous little fucktards with a God complex.

Kinda hard to ignore people that want to fuck with your free time. Some people just want to chill and play MVC3 after a hard day's work and now they can't even do that right now because some angsty little brats have to have their pointless holy war.
Here's hoping they get nailed down even harder.
I was only kind of looking forward to the PSN update tomorrow, guys, but someone had to be assholes about all this and now it may not be in the cards this week. Not too big of a deal for me, but it would be nice if I didn't have to worry about it at all.
Like I said, a bunch of twats with a God complex thinking their fighting the good fight when all it is is just blatant vigilantism. Weren't some of these idiots on TV before as well? I'm pretty sure I saw some of them on CNN recently.

Don't get me wrong, what they're doing isn't exactly kosher and it does affect some people to one degree or another. However, I was more directing this towards the media outlet, because as anyone will tell you, the more TV time they get, the more embolden and the more irresponsible they become. I'm not saying that they were model citizens to begin with, but things tend to get worse once you add media gasoline to a fire.
the thing is once they take that one step to far, they will be brought down hard, just a matter of time before they do something really stupid.
Let the authorities handle it behind the scenes. I don't want so much media coverage on these guys that they end up garnering support for their activities and be seen as the "good guys".
My favorite bit of the current story to this is this from what I read on D-Toid
Anonymous is currently experiencing a schism, as splinter group Backtrace is threatening to release personal details of its members due to them becoming "arrogant sociopaths."
Sounds like Anonymous is about to get names and faces put to them.
I have 2 RL friend who are in Anonymous and this divide has actually been going on for a long time. I find the whole thing a hilarious bit of karma even if I don't believe in it
I like how they ceased their attacks on PSN and then said that it was never their intention to do anything to disrupt the activity of other gamers, but rather, that they were doing this for the benefit of all gamers and would direct their attacks elsewhere in regards to Sony.
Though I have to point out that Sony is one of the leading companies contributing money to relief effort funding in Japan, so any way you attack Sony at the moment is a dick move from where I'm standing.
I hope the lot of them are dragged into court instead of Hotz at this point. They're more worthy of being made an example of.

So what? That wont stop Anonymous, in fact it will only make it stronger because it shows they can police themselves so to speak. So if one group goes too far the millions of others will be there to calm them down one way or the other.
You know, like it was back when "the people" had any sort of influence in the government and those in places of power were actually mindful of not going too far or risk their constituents taking things into their own hands instead of the being the sheep they have become in recent decades.
