It's true.

Also alot of the suicide bombers have what we call "Chicken Switches" which are alternate mean's of initiation that usually rely on a spotter with some sort of wireless device who makes sure the bomber dosen't "chicken" out.

It's a tough fucking world for these people, and they sure as shit don't make it any easier on themselves. Also I'm going to buy a FN SCAR...

Do deadman switch detonators exist? If you've seen SPEED or Hancock you'll know what I'm talking about.

A guy blowing himself up 25meters away after you shoot him and him killing you is pretty far fucking fetched, but if were going along the basis of suicide bombers, if your close enough to stab him with a knife, then your going to die when he fires off his vest.

As far as the game mechanics go, you stab a guy, he dies, no boom. IRL, one would assume you'd either stab them in the heart/slit their throat etc and neutralize said bomb in the process. Pretty hard pull a trigger when you're dead in seconds (bullet to the brain works just as well)


Point being it's a stupid glitch and is in no way realistic. Bombs don't just go off, they have to be detonated and you can't detonate a bomb when you're already dead.

No, its just a glitch. Suicide Bombing would be me playing Battlefield 2: MC while driving a Humvee strapped with C4 into a tank then blowing it up. Sometimes I'd have gotten far enough away from the hummer to survive the blast, and sometimes I'd die. Man I miss that game.

I used to do the same thing in 2142. I'd strap all the C4 I had to a buggy, and then ram it into a tank, walker, or transport. In Northern Strike, or whatever it was called, I'd ram C4-strapped speeders into the sides of the Goliath vehicles. Those vehicles were a pretty awesome idea.

But like before, yeah this isn't a suicide vest, it's a fucked up exploit that folks are using, i guess my inital post(s) should have been more along the lines of "how similar" not along the lines of "oh that's realistic". If there's enough division between the to anway.

They're being banned because it's a stupid cheap-tactic that often results in multiple deaths, or at the very least you end up killing the guy who killed you as well depending on your proximity.

Sarcasm...yeah a bit, I understand it's cheap, but i guess my argument was it's also Realistic. Maybe not the way it's implemented in MW2 with the "Glitch" but the actual tactic of running up to a group of people and blowing yourself and them to smitherines.

Yeah suicide bombers is pretty fucking dificult to defeat (I.E. see the news today about suicde bombers killing 118+ folks in baghdad)

Can someone explain the Javelin Glitch? I can't view the video...

Through some weapon switching technique, you somehow prime the stinger missile launcher to explode upon your death. It creates a surprisingly large explosion, so in small maps it can be part of a very effective suicide tactic.
