I'm glad somebody has seen one online. I've seen it in youtube videos, but they were all two player games played offline. I'll post my kit when I get home. Can you unlock extra custom kit slots like on MW1? I think on the first MW you could unlock 5 extra slots when you get to a certain rank. I need to better define my kits, on MW1 I had maybe 4 kits that I used and one of them was a different configuration of the same gun. I think after I unlocked the SCAR, I reset all my FAMAS kits around the SCAR.

So first day on, i was about 18 hours late due to LOLhurricane Ida, and so all my buddies were already well into the 30+ some were 40+ and so i join the party to put us at 6, and they are already in game, so i get sub-defaulted to the other team. And my buddy procced's to get 25kills and straight TN the game. I got 1000 EXP points for dying to a nuke, but the reactions to the other players on the team were the best.

Uter confusion, realization, anger, then admiration lol.

    Mal....Breathe and stop....

Now, to get the Nuke, you'd have to get 25 kills without dying. IMO if you get that many damn kills then you deserve to get it . The thing is that you also have to buy/unlock it and have it selected as one of your 3 killstreak perks. I still have yet to see somebody use one in battle, but I have seen the EMP a few times. I even had an idiot on my team ask "What does the EMP do?" THE SAME THING IT DOES IN REAL LIFE LOL! I think the Nuke also instantly kills everybody and automatically ends the map.

The tactical nuke isn't something people regularly attain. It's almost impossible without the right strategy, and even then it's extremely difficult.

I agree that it can be very self-perpetuating, though people don't realize that the streak rewards are very easy to destroy. One stinger missile can take out an attack chopper, harrier, or Pave Low. You can also destroy turrets, shoot down UAVs, and knock out support drop helicopters. My attempts to shoot AC130s out of the air have always resulted in it dropping flares, so I'm not sure if it's possible to destroy.

Anybody with a Stinger missile launcher or a powerful gun with Stopping Power Pro can take down kill streak rewards. They're really only super powerful when left unchecked.

I use the FAMAS, when it comes to rifles, and I pair it with the automatic shotgun. You get a good mix of ranged and close combat ability, but you need to know when to switch weapons. Alternatively, I'll use LMGs such as the HBAR or the one before it. They're both decent, but the biggest difference between them is clip size. One is large and slow to reload, the other is small and quick to reload. The only other difference is accuracy and power. With LMGs I always take along the Stinger. It's not really necessary though, because with Stopping Power Pro you can take out the craft with the LMG.

Bling is very helpful, especially with LMGs and shotguns. Being able to equip a grip and a sight improves your ability a lot. Stopping Power is usually a must, though Hard Line can be good if you'd rather depend on kill streaks. Jammer is the third that I usually stick with, which is a little complicated. Sure, it actually gives you away sometimes, but for the most part they'll be searching for you without knowing where you are. That does give you an advantage, where instead they might know exactly where you are.

C4 is useless, but then again so is anything else for that slot. Flash grenades are infinitely more useful almost all the time.

From what I've heard, a lot of people are bitching about how absurdly powerful the kill streaks are now and how it wrecks the pacing of what would be an otherwise frantic experience.

FW, are all those problems you mentioned just for the PC version? I'm sometimes loath to get stuff on the 360 when it's also on PS3 since despite the fact that I have way more friends on 360 and can chat with them, online gaming on my PS3 is virtually lag-free.

But so far it's sounding like MW2 is suffering from the same problems that made me quit playing Resistence 2 online - broken as fuck perks/kill streaks. I seriously hated the games where high level players would come and would have either the Rocket Launcher or Plasma Cannon set as their berserks. All they had to do was fire 1 shot into a crowd of people and BAM it's ready for use again...

Or am I the only one who takes issue with being given the ability to kick even more ass when you're already kicking everyone's asses? Like they said on GT, this crap is self-perpetuating and that's just wrong. You can even get a tactical nuke apparently! WTF IS THAT ABOUT?!

I agree with everything but the predator missile. In my experience everybody is usually in-doors or inside a building, making it largely useless. I'm not sure if it begins at the same coordinates on every map, or if it's map-specific, but that also plays a large part in where I direct the missile. I'll usually go for a single target without searching much because there's such little time.

I unlocked Cold-Blooded Pro, and it was easier and more enjoyable than I thought it would be. The pro perk isn't anything that great, but shooting down UAVs, helicopters, and harriers is pretty awesome. I think it can really turn the tide in a game. I've even shot down supply drop helicopters before they drop their cargo.

I think it's even more fun when you clearly see an M203 grenade sail past you, hit the wall behind you and cause no damage. Then about half a second later you drop down dead and see the killcam grenade hit you in the face.

Or when you put half a clip into someone and see the hits register on your HUD but the killcam shows the other guy tanking just one hit then casually scoping in and taking your head off.

Or when you sneak up to someone, hit melee 3 times, nothing happens then the guy you got the drop on turns and shotguns you in the face. (I call this Gears of War syndrome)

Or when someone kills you without even turning to face you yet on the killcam they were suddenly facing you the whole time (I call this Rainbow Six Vegas syndrome since the enemies in singleplayer would do this all the time on "Realistic" mode)

Or when your grenade bounces back and forth on the ground and spins up into the air like when the havoc engine glitches out on Oblivion or Fallout 3 and stays suspended in the air for about 10 seconds. Your team usually stops, starts laughing at it over the voice/text chat then gets killed by it when it finally does go off.

Seriously, don't bother with the PC version until:

    1) They bring out dedicated servers.

    2) They patch some of the stupid multiplayer bugs like knives working against riot shields or grenades vanishing into the scenery and killing your teammates if friendly fire is on.

    3) They balance the damn predator missiles so you need a UAV up to be able to see everyone on the other side. I hate having a nice cozy sniper nest or a well organised ambush compromised (or simply blown up by said missile) because the other side can suddenly magically see everything my team is doing without a UAV up. It's even worse in objective based games. Defending things turns into a nightmare because of AGMs, Harriers and Helicopters. Basically if someone calls in one of those and the objective is outdoors you've lost the round.

    4) They make it so it's possible to shoot down those bloody helicopters and harriers. Sorry but when was the last time you saw a Pave Low tank 4 direct hits from an RPG and still be able to fly?

    5) They bring out dedicated servers!

And, I really don't see any point in keeping any kind of rankings. It's all luck and lag. Infinity Ward did their damnedest to remove any trace of skill

QFT. I'm beyond sick of whiny, irresponsible parents who are too fucking lazy to supervise their own kids and raise them properly.

If you wouldn't let your kid go see an R rated movie, then don't buy them a Mature rated game. Video games aren't somehow magically different and thus exempt from the same scrutiny movies are; Both are forms of entertainment and both have regulatory bodies intended to keep people informed.

While I'm on the subject, I would seriously like to see any and all retail stores remove any M rated paraphernalia from the fucking children's toys section already.

I don't care if it's "just an action figure", Bungie didn't allow the production of Halo-themed pajamas and bed covers for a reason; IT'S NOT FOR KIDS, SO STOP PUTTING IT IN WITH THE KIDS STUFF!

Sorry, but this is a major pet peeve of mine and it's extremely irresponsible on the retailer's part. The parents should know better as well, but the point is it just shouldn't be there in the first place. The moment a kid sees a Master Chief action figure, he's gonna think it's cool and wanna get it and find out more about Halo that's just the way little boys are.

Jokes aside though... Every since Columbine (ZOMG THEY PLAYED DOOM BEFORE IT!), the DC Sniper, and some of the murders blamed on GTA, and Everquest Suicides... There has been an influx of people trying to say that the violence in video games makes them do these things "Because they don't know the difference between reality and virtual reality..." back when I did a report on video game violence back in college, the unbaised decisions all basically said that "If video games influence your mind that much then video games aren't the problem to begin with."

LOL @ 8 y/o kid in the article, if that kid's parents were stupid enough to buy him a M rated game 9 years too early and he does something stupid to blame it on a game then they are the ones to blame.

EDIT: Speaking of random stupidity: back when my brother was a kid, he saw a cartoon character put a flash light into an oven and the oven exploded. So what does this genius do? He shines a flashlight into the stove and my mom caught him doing it. I mean the good thing was that it wasn't a gas stove because back then flashlights were epic so the spark of turning it on in an oven with a gas leak could've exploded it.

They think killing in-game is bad, suppose they played Mario Kart instead and threw banana peels (Or turtle shells) outside of the car window at other vehicles while their parents were driving. Suppose a kid played Sonic the Hedgehog and believed they could survive under water by breathing the air bubbles (But there weren't any...).

Yup, the 0 Ping advantage is just one of many reasons I refuse to play Halo 3 anymore over XBL.

And when will people get it through their heads that the people who play violent video games and then go commit serious acts of violence are mentally unbalanced!? Millions of people world wide play extremely violent games, but you don't see them going out and killing people.

There is no correlation. Yes, games do get your adrenaline going and can get you hyped up, but they aren't the reason for people killing other people. Mental health issues are.
