lol just saying, the game does try to strike a level of realism with the weapons (and not just aesthetically) and in that regard, Stinger Missiles are the shit. I'd like to point out they're just that though; the Stinger is a kind of missile and not the actual weapon that fires them (like say a Nikita)

IRL you would never see the stealth bombers that are dropping bombs on you.

I thought about that same thing the second time I saw the Stealth Bomber... The first time I was like OMG SO KEWL!

Not to be mean or anything, but if we're going to do an IRL thing I have a bunch of contributions: IRL dropping bombs on buildings would demolish them. IRL heartbeat sensors don't exist. IRL you would never see the stealth bombers that are dropping bombs on you. IRL I forget some of the others.

The Javelin is pretty lame, but I've seen some people rocking out with it pretty hard. It's slower than the Stinger, making it worse for shooting down air targets, but it does have the added bonus of being able to strike the ground. That's where I seem to have zero luck.

Well, IRL (last I checked anyway) Stinger Missiles are the bane of aircraft.

I haven't played in a while. I started using the shield a lot, and it's so much fun compared to some of the other guns. It's a little hinky though, because it's so sensitive to lag. You may be in close quarters with an enemy, keeping him in front of you at all times, when you suddenly die and the killcam reveals that at some point he sprinted beside you. Also, foot kills are crazy dangerous for some reason. I think they're just as powerful as headshots, but not rewarded.

I'm not surprised.

I just unlocked the Javelin but haven't used it yet. I've only used the Stinger and Bazooka before, if I remember right. I'm just sad that as much as I've played, I still have 20 levels to go to get to 70...

Xbox Live moderators getting serious about Modern Warfare 2's Javelin glitch

Oh, you think it's funny, making your virtual soldier explode with the force of a small supernova every time he gets killed? Yeah, we suppose it is. Know what else is funny? Getting banned from Xbox Live. Oh, wait, did we say funny? We meant really unpleasant. However, according to Xbox Live's Director of Policy and Enforcement, Stephen Toulouse, using Modern Warfare 2's Javelin glitch (an unsavory practice demoed in this video) is cheating, as defined by the service's Terms of Use. According to Toulouse, anyone caught self-detonating will be banned for 24 hours, or if caught repeatedly, two weeks.

For us honest folk, it seems the wait for a patch, which will cull the kamikaze epidemic, will be short. Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling tweeted yesterday that a fix is currently being tested, and, "once it's cleared, we'll be urging it through Microsoft & Sony certification as fast as possible." Keep the fire, troops. We can make it through this thing together.

ATM I'm using "Ninja" with the Ninja Perk icon. Before I was using "Shot Down" with the Stopping Power Perk icon. For a short while I also used "All Your Base" with the Heartbeat Sensor icon.
