Well, I had enough Paragon to diffuse the thing between Legion and Tali. Good thing too, seeing as I think they're both great characters. Actually, as Malacite said, I pretty much like most of the characters of Mass Effect 2.

Still don't have enough to regain Miranda's loyalty though. And I've pretty much did every mission and side quest I can think of. If she doesn't want to make nice with me now, I guess she never will. Sigh.

I really, really hate Bioware for being so lazy with Zaeed and Kasumi. Both of them are great personalities, but they never offer any dialogue choices aboard the ship (or Normandy Upgrades like the others all do).

; ; Kasumi-chan better show up in some way for me in ME3.

I brought Kasumi to the final battle because I thought she would do her Sneak Attacky Thingy on some of the collectors that join the fight. But she didn't. Bitch. But I still love 'er.

EDIT: Post game free roam stuff. And Miranda is still being a disloyal bitch to me. Why?

EDIT2: So since we're talking about it, for my first play through, I went with Sentinel. Figured the best way to learn the game would be to play the job that, purportedly, can absorb the most damage before having to hide again. Maxed out Overload too, so by the second half of the game, it felt like I could just run through a mech-oriented mission just Overloading everything. Was really nice for Project Overlord and Legion's loyalty mission.

Eh, as far as waves of mechs go havint Tali + Legion in the team is overkill as it is - they make fighting synthetics a complete joke.

I'm not a big fan of the Sentinel class, but it's 1 of the 3 best-suited for insanity mode (the other 2 being Soldier and Infiltrator)

Just wrapped up Lair of the Shadowbroker. It was pretty good, but 2 hours of content? Bullshit. Took me maybe 40 min, and this was on insanity. At least Liara's AI was pretty good, unlike another borderline-retarded bitch I could name.

You don't need either one, because Zaeed's Disrupter Ammo is more powerful than AI Hacking (though if you really want, you can bring either Tali or Legion for that too). It overheats weaponry and stuns synthetics, especially when using rapid-fire weapons.

I don't think Infiltrator plays well at all on Insanity, to be quite honest. It's not "terrible", but it's tactically limited in a lot of the more tense battles. Adept, Soldier, and Sentinel are better.

Whaaaat? Infiltrator is Easy-Mode on Insanity. Heavy Incinerate and Disruptor Ammo for armor and shields, Assassination Cloak and head-shot bonus armor for nearly one-shot kills with the Widow Sniper Rifle (More like CANNON). Seeing as I always had Tali, our AI-Hacking pretty much made any mission with Geth a stroll in the park.

It is the class for Insanity. Even in ME3 with the introduction of enemy turret placements -- hoo boy, those things tore them up once you hacked it.

One day I'll play ME2 again, just because I already own it. And I will not care about who is better for what type of combat, including my own. Instead I'll just pick the playstyle I like regardless of effectiveness and bring along the gals/guys I like the most and that have the best dialog.

                    Because I'm a ME2 noob.

*Shrug* That's exactly what I did. I always prefer the "Thief"-type class in RPGs, and both Tali and Garrus were pretty much my squad mates throughout the entire game. The Insanity difficultly was just for the achievement and lawls.

Funnest play-through ever. Now I'm getting the urge to replay the trilogy -- haven't touched the Extended Ending DLC yet.

Kasumi is in ME3 though her quest is really depressing if you didn't do her loyalty mission.

And in ME2, playing Soldier or Infiltrator is basically going to break the game for you. Soldiers can use the Mattock DLC rifle which is just game breaking in itself plus Adrenaline Rush is the most broken ability in the game used right.

Infiltrator is powerful but doesn't become a beast until you get to the bit where you can pick a bonus weapon. Rifles and Shotguns then turn you into a game breaker.

Cloak + DLC Heavy Pistol = Who needs a Sniper Rifle?
Cloak + Shotgun = Congrats you are now a Vanguard with broken Tech abilities
Cloak + Mattock DLC Rifle = Congrats you win the game

Is it really that good? I looked at the firepower pack and thought it fairly "meh".

I'm not really liking the Revenant either, kinda wish i'd taken the widow. It's a good rifle, but even with the accuracy mod it's just BS to control. My old rifle was better for comboing with AR.

And I have Squad Disruptor Ammo already on Shepard (since I'm a soldier and incendiary is redundant with Warp ammo).

                          .... from the wiki....

With all six possible assault rifle damage upgrades, the penetration upgrade, a Kuwashii Visor equipped, and Heightened Adrenaline Rush active, the M-96 Mattock will inflict approximately 180 damage to an enemy with a headshot. This is double the base damage of the M-97 Viper with no upgrades. Adding Armor Piercing Ammo, Warp Ammo or Inferno Ammo can increase this value to nearly 220 damage per headshot, which is comparable to a round from the M-92 Mantis.

WTF?! That's ludicrous (also you can actually get 7, but I'm limited to 6 since I did the paragon path for Zaeed's loyalty)

First off, sniper rifles in ME2 are absolute garbage until you unlock the Widow. They're serviceable, but that's about all. Once you DO get the Widow, it makes some things like YMIR mechs very easy, but the hard parts of ME2 on Insanity aren't heavy bosses, it's the swarms of enemies at Horizon, Derelict Reaper, and during the suicide mission, all of which Infiltrator handles less gracefully than the classes I mentioned.

Sure, Infiltrator can cloak, and that's nice as long as your allies stay alive, but only so long as they do. Infiltrator still has a better bag of tricks than Vanguard or Engineer, but not nearly as good as Soldier, Sentinel, or Adept for dealing with the difficult stuff in ME2 Insanity. Infiltrator has zero tools for crowd control other than cloaking to hide so they focus on your teammates, so you end up having to burn heavy weapon ammo to cover that weakness.

Mal: The Mattock is accurate as a sniper rifle and has zero recoil. Since it's Semi-Auto it's also very ammo efficient, especially when combined with the cloak.

Ice: Cloaking instantly makes the AI forget about you on 2 and you can spam it. You're pretty much going to be dropping stuff instantly with a sniper rifle or shotgun. Also remember you can take Flashbangs as ANY class and Infiltrator shines with it as you can throw them while cloaked. The Widow Rifle is the WORST choice later on because it pretty much destroys all of the versatility that the Infiltrator has for the sake of one shotting mechs that Tali or Mordin can solo anyway.

And on Insanity you rotate team members to use the best party setup for a given quest. Fighting Geth? Take Tali and Kasumi. Fighting Collectors? Take Jack and Samara. Fighting Mercs? Take Grunt/Zaeed to tank for you then whoever counters the Merc Group's speciality. Suicide Mission? Tali/Kasumi/Legion for vents, Garrus/Jacob for Fireteam, Jack/Samara for Barrier (Miranda always gets someone killed since she is the worst choice), Jack and a squishy of your choice for the final boss while your heavier party members hold the line.

I can already see that popular console games will be tricky to get on Gamefly and that I should be patient regarding them.

Also that I should move up to the two-game plan rather than the one-game. I mean, I did want to play Persona 3 FES again, but I thought that at least having Sleeping Dogs, Max Payne 3, Dragon's Dogma and The Witcher 2 ahead of it would have fetched me at least one of them first. I had Castlevania LOS right behind Persona 3 FES.

Oh well, who am I to complain? At least I know on all handheld rentals its easier to get first dibs.
