FINAL FANTASY XII Experiences a Major Delay
Square Enix Japan announced today that FINAL FANTASY XII, the next normal title in the series, has been forced into a heavy delay. Until now, FINAL FANTASY XII was scheduled for a June 2004 release. Now, it's estimated release date is scheduled some time between Winter 2004 and Spring 2005. This is a major delay, which could mean that we may not see the game stateside until some time next summer.
Square Enix Japan stated that the main factor for the decision was "quality improvement." Square Enix USA lists FINAL FANTASY XII as a 2005 release.
