    XD

I thought the service was shut down entirely though?

Been trolling on Cockatrice with my Dimir deck. It would be fun to build it IRL but tapleflips tend to hurt when you're on the other side of them.

Holy TITS, they are bringing back THALLIDS!!!

    OMGWTF@&Y@&*@^&@*@ *nerdgasm*

Too bad it's for Modern and not Standard, but even still, never thought I'd see 'em again - the new artwork is great too. GoGo Archangel of Thune + Spike Feeder!

So.. both M14 and modern masters looking good so far.

I hate that they reprinted bob for Modern though and not Ravnica block. Archangel of Thune is ridiculous O.O

So, I Top 8'd at the Game Day event today. Full art Melek get. /go me

Specifically, I actually got 8th exactly. I know I could've done a lot better if I hadn't punted Round 3 Game 1 (on the play) by dumping all of my Creatures into what was obviously going to become Mutilate mana. I had Legion's Initiative on the board already; the correct play was clearly to leave mana open to save the Creatures I already had in play from mutilation.

Ah well, live and learn. The store has a weekly Standard event tomorrow, free entry with top prize being $100 store credit. I'll reiterate that this store does this every week, and does similar events on other weekdays. It's pretty awesome, and they happen to stock board games that I'd be very interested in bringing home (7Wonders and Seasons, for example) moreso than more Magic packs.

No idea... I know Gate Crash got added but I believe it went down before DM made it in.

Anybody up for some Magic this week? I haven't touched Cockatrice in months. There's a workaround server in place so we can still play Magic with it, right? Any idea if Gatecrash and Dragon's Maze cards get added to its Oracle?

It tested well with people who don't know what Slivers are. That's literally the only fathomable explanation.

(As for them being strictly superior versions, the fact that they cause less board complexity is the only fathomable explanation to why they decided to go with that.)

I get it. It's hard to make something that alien expressive and evocative. But oh wells, that's what slivers look like. Headcanon remains unchanged.

I can't fathom why they would try to make them humanoid. I figure a large chunk of their appeal comes from the fact that they're so alien.

Slivers will always look one way to me, but I'll still love them with different art.

Do want. Slivers in the core set, and they're humanoid... stop tempting me WotC >_<

MTGO actually enforces the rules and processes effects, though. Which I would demand if I spent a lot of time playing with strangers or doing drafts and such for "real" product.

I probably should have said "That's how it works in MTGO" when I had that rules dispute at the tourney.

From my brief time dabbling in MTGO, I recall it being inferior to Cockatrice, or at least more needlessly convoluted.

I wouldn't have a problem buying digital cards if I knew several people who played online regularly. ... And if there wasn't a perfectly serviceable alternative for free, of course.
