The bIg name local news station (Chanel 7) here in Boston was out doing a story in my town (Salem) and caught me while I was going to get pizza with the fiancé. Long story short, I was interviewed about the new parking meters and ended up on the news.

This isn't making me smile as much as it is going to make everyone else smile:

Ok, so me and a bunch of my friends are out on a trip because one of them has this summer house he and his wife like to invite friends over to play games at. One of the people on this trip is, of course, that guy I've been liking for the past half a year. I moved on to the point where I've accepted I cannot ask him out anymore, though I haven't really become interested in anyone else so it would still be kind of nice, at this point, if he might change his mind in time about not wanting to have a relationship with anyone. We'll call him ED.

Anyway, while we're out on this trip, I met someone I am simply going to refer to as the guy of my dreams, or GoD for short. We immediately hit it off. I was able to look at ED and think "I'm finally ready to get over you completely." So we meet up one day while on this trip and GoD had to run to the store to get something. While I was waiting for him...

...I woke up. GoD literally turned out to only be of my dreams. DAMNIT. There was actually about to be some "getting lucky" if the dream had gone on any further!

I was in the background of the news the other day. We're a very prominent agency down here so a lot of security-related issues are brought up and interviews are done right where I work. I was just doing my job in the background but it was kind of funny, like, "zomg that's me on TV!" lol
