I have my moments. Oddly enough, bitching about shit in pet peeve threads and on my tumblr makes it a lot less likely that I'll fly off the handle when people are dumb, though there are times when I will just flip out on people.

In other news, I have set up an appointment for this Saturday to get another tattoo done. So stoked.

Gonna get a sugar skull done, and have my grandparents' (all 4 of them) birthdates incorporated. I basically gave the artist the option for how to get the dates on there because my idea was, quite frankly crap, but I have faith that it will be badass.

Figure I should use some of the tax refund money for fun, and the rest of it can go to paying down debt.

Shame about the fad, because I'm not one to follow them. I would have gone with a more macabre skull if it weren't going to have my grandparents' birthdays on them. I am actually a huge fan of the macabre and have plans to get plenty of creepy/gross/spooky/scary/etc tattoos. Just didn't feel right for this one, and flowers are, to be honest, a bit too cutesy for me.

Willing to wager most people don't know what sugar skulls mean and why they're significant. Personally I love the whole dia de los muertos folklore. I did a lot of reading about it, and it's a fascinating history.

Well it's that or sit here wallowing in my own misery and loneliness for another Friday night, and I need to not do that. Of course going out to play cards with a bunch of strange nerds isn't a huge step up in terms of social activity, but it's at least a step in the right direction that I can take without straying too far from my comfort zone.
