The internet is basically just an enormous library.

It's part of a Japanese ad campaign with some pop star (the tacky loli one) promoting the New 3DS which has custom faceplate you can switch out. Its a feature of the standard model. New 3DS XL won't have them, but the standard New 3DS will.

Yes, the "New" designation is dumb, but Apple has numbers, Android uses candy names, Nintendo goes with "new" without realizing that doesn't have a lot of longevity. I'd go with the Pokémon game naming conventions, honestly.

What exactly am I looking at?

The weird clothing choices or the fact that they're all kind of okay with partying with Bowser, or the fact that some (but not all of them) are wearing pajamas, or all of the above?

In other news, I am sick, and I'm miserable at work. I can't leave and I have class tonight so no drugs for me until about 8PM. It's going to be a long day of suffering.

I'll be honest, I have no idea where the nearest library is, except for the one on campus. That's pretty sad, isn't it?

I really prefer to own books instead of borrow them, especially if they're relevant to my major. The campus library did cross my mind - but I figure as long as I'm on campus already I may as well just go to the bookstore.

Have you tried searching at a local library?

Trying to save money by not going to the school bookstore for a novel I have to read.

Go to Barnes & Noble, they don't have it. Go to another. They don't either. "Where's the nearest store that has this book?" 45 minutes away.

Fiiiiiiiiiiiine, I'll go to the goddamn college bookstore. /sigh

TERFs and radfems can sound almost indistinguishable the extreme radical right at times. Cathy Brennan would be an example. She owns abut a dozen trans* hate sites, mostly to see transwomen are harassed but also to shame transmen. She also tries to dictate how her fellow lesbians present themselves and will pull the "no true scotsman" bit a lot, but with women. No "real" woman would do that., etc. That's her thing. She's also a lawyer, the kind that cribs notes from the Westboro playbook.

What it comes down to for me on this whole thing is being stirred up by some really manipulative people. I see kids that are social outcasts being weaponized for the gain of some rightwingers in dire need of attention. These are people your most hated talk radio personality wouldn't be caught dead with. Take it as a sign.

    Oh, by the way, cid.

The sales of the game were sensational, so it seemed like the choice of a female protagonist didn't hurt sales at all. Sierra did a survey to find out what men and women of different ages thought about the game and what they thought of playing a male or a female characters. The results were very unexpected/interesting. It turned out that the men didn't care at all about the sex of the main protagonist as long as the game had an interesting story and fun gameplay, while the women actually prefered to play with a female protagonist. It wasn't the other way around as one could have thought.

Yes, making games more inclusive does literally benefit everyone. It did in the past; it will continue to do so in the future.
