I might be getting stuck working Sundays again, after I worked them for nearly a year and JUST got them off, because the new guy hired as part-time that is supposed to work them is telling us, and my boss, that his wife will divorce him if he works Sundays.

I've heard all sorts of excuses, and I've put up with shitty schedules for a year, and now someone comes along that works there for less than a month demanding he gets days off because his wife says so.

Oh my god.

One of my coworkers has been here less than 30 minutes, and she hasn't stopped fucking complaining since she walked in the door.

First it was about her weight. She's complaining because she weighs 130lbs, and she said she's going to cry. I shit you not. Right from that, I already wanted to punch her in the fucking face. Then she starts bitching about how hot it is ... um, it's fucking cold in here and she's the only person who doesn't seem to know it. I'm wearing a thick hoodie and I'm still cold. Then she's complaining about Obama and Obamacare (which I don't care for, but she bitches about things in the most uninformed manner possible and makes herself look dumb) ... then it's Ebola ... if she doesn't shut up I might not be able to keep myself from knocking her out cold.

Some people just need to shut the fuck up.

Been sick all week, it's finally starting to let up, but as we all know, the tail end of being sick is having the fucking sniffles.

Nothing sucks more than sitting in lecture and running out of tissues halfway through. That really sucked.

Not just the elderly but other people in general, there's very little respect these days.

My brother often has to walk around with a cane because his knees are so messed up from 2 separate accidents, and any time he's been on the bus people just ignore it when they see him with it and try to cut in front or shove etc. etc. it's awful. Civility's just going all to Hell and I hate it.

When you do something nice for someone and then they turn around and make it a problem. I went to Wendy's today and I saw an elderly couple coming out of their car. So I waited for them and held the door open. The wife was nice and said thank you, the husband not so much. "What? Am I too fucking old for you?" I then proceeded to remark with, "If you were any older you would be my great, great, grandpa." He glared at me, I got a laugh out of it and he mumbled, "Thank you." as he walked inside, I could've done the assholic thing and let the door swing on him, sice he hadn't reached the door yet like his wife had. Elders wonder why the younger generation of kids don't respect them. It's shit like that. If your wife was nice enough to say thank you, you should follow by example. Since there aren't a lot of nice people like me left in the world who would help the older folks. I hate to say it, but a lot of kids today would give an elder the bird before holding the door for them.

Oh I know that already. On days I don't bring my computer with me to school, I get by with my phone. I find that when I have my computer, rather than being productive, I'm on here, or BG, or Facebook, or tumblr, or Wowhead, or the WoW forums ... etc. And I do have access to those things on my phone but I'm more cautious about battery life so I use my phone sparingly.

Then again I'd probably run into the same issues if I had a tablet. I just hate lugging my computer around because it (and my books, of course) weighs a ton and really puts added strain on a back that's frankly, seen better days. I'm trying to find the balance ... which basically ends up being that I only bring my computer when it's absolutely necessary.

Yeah, I'd caution you not to make the mistake of thinking that a tablet is a replacement for a computer. It's more of a supplement.

I've been debating over a tablet or a new computer.

Granted, the computer would be much more expensive, but Warlords of Draenor releases in about six weeks and I'd sure love a new machine for the updated graphics. Still not sure though. Maybe I'll wait and see how it plays on this laptop before I rush out to buy more electronics.

I guess I'm just old-fashioned in that respect, for all of my computer literacy. I really prefer holding a physical book. My bf let me mess around with his iPad this weekend and while I could switch to a tablet for reading, I just like it so much better when I get to turn physical pages.

Though I am still considering the tablet for school purposes, since it would be much more easily portable than my laptop for school, but it's by no means a necessity.
