Has Dragonball/Z lost its spark????

I was talking to one of my friends and he said that dragonball/z is the best anime in the world and he said "Every one has got to love Dragonball/z!!". I said man DB/Z is old. I wont to see who agrees with my friend or me.

The Real Japanese DBZ kicks mucho asso... anyone who watches the hickafied version straigh from the heart of hickville usa... is not a real fan.

When I think of DBZ as old...I think old as in, it's just getting boring.

Don't get me wrong, I used to watch DBZ for a long time, up to the Cell saga I believe. I think I really was getting dissapointed after the Freiza saga...agh...how many times in one episode do they need to do spaghetti western style panning back and forth between hero and villain crap...

I think DragonBall Z was great around the time it came out and a few years after. I moved to the mainland aka U.S. and DBZ was just starting and I was like woah what's going on? I think it's still pretty good. People compare it now to stuff like Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing, etc and then they're like wth DBZ so sucks. Yeah.. :sweat:

I liked DBZ up until the Cell Saga. I mean, really, there's only so many times you can withstand "oh no, he's really strong.. *powers up* ... "yay we won"

i love all the dragonball series ...jus because i love fighter.. i mean hell ive join fight clubs before(great way to make money)
so yea i agree DBZ has NO story line WHATSO EVER... but I really could care less... its fighting and comedy , hell what more can i ask for...

I just don't think a television series with a "set" storyline like that can last so many episodes without becoming a little dry. I don't hate it, after all, it's like a "gateway" anime for so many people, you gotta respect it for being so damn popular.

I realy like dragonball, but I must say that it most defanitly is a show you gota be high for, otherwise it's just stoopid.

and...yeah I think the buu saga is just a stinker, it turned alot of ppl off. my fave saga is the super 17 saga personaly..... but thats not TECHNACLY dbz its dbgt and yeah GT is alot beter than Z (and so is the original dragonball) I think Gokuu is just not meant to be a grown-up.

yeah, dbz may have lost its "spark", but its partially toonami's fault:
1. for showing the same episodes over and over
2. for waiting so long between showing new episodes
3. for showing the same episodes over and over and over

i dont know where the series went wrong... i loved DragonBall... it had a good story, good characters, etc.... everything DBZ seems to lack...
1. dbz would get sooo boring/monotonous ( making you watch countless episodes of them "powering up" was just plain retarded)
2. eveyone would die only to be brought back to life..... wtf?
3. all the characters brought over from DB were neglected and everything suddenly focused on nothing but the saiyans... thats all anyone cared about.......ug

no no no Goemon.... lets get this striaght, its not Toonami's Fault... if anything they helped, its FUNimations fault, dont blame then when its not thier fault... FUNimations is the one who decided to redo all the music on their Casio 300 or whatever.... FUNimations is the one who decided to Change all the fight scenes to a more KIDDY friendly.... Yeah so blame FUNimations NOT Toonami.
