Yes, according to a press release (which I have yet to find a link to) from Cartoon Network, Neon Genesis Evangelion (in addition to Nadesico, Dai-Gaurd, and the *sigh* dubbed version of Robotech) will air during Cartoon Network's Giant Robot Week later this month. Will it be heavily edited? You bet it will! However, it doesn't look like they're going to air the whole series, just the first few episodes.
This from the network that changed the name of Candidate for Goddess to Pilot Candidate; I can see why there are a lot of skeptical people out there right now, even with Cartoon Network's press release. Eva airing on CN at around the 4-6 pm slot will definetly lead to heavy editing. Maybe we'll see more if the episodes prove popular.
