    This feels really. Freaking. Weird.

    I mean, the RDM update I would normally be looking forward has already . . . happened . . . soooo . . .

    Um . . .

Summoner hauling a-go-go? Although, probably not; S-E is going to be all like "here, let's give them the new avatars to get them to shut up and remain distracted from the real problems of the job," like they've always been, excepting replacing "give" with "promise" in the past, obviously. So, since they are obviously going to be ignoring the meat of the Summoner job this update, I guess Black Mage, Thief, Puppetmaster, and maybe Dancer could use some looking at. As for all the jobs I plan on leveling/have leveled (Red Mage, White Mage, Paladin, Blue Mage), everything seems to be just fine.

Game needs moar MDB gear, too.

Northlands WotG zones. I know that people have been looking forward to that.

Also, not to look too much in to it or anything, but has anybody else noticed that they specifically referred to the QA team this time around for some reason?

Don't forget to add that there are other MMOs coming out other than FF14 that people may decide to try (I CAN HAZ STAR WAWRZ?). I wanna see what the monthly cost is and then I might give it a try for a few months. If it costs as much as FFXI does, I might just put my FFXI on hold for a bit and then pick it back up later.

I haven't logged into FFXI lately so I'm gonna have to check in my linkshell and see if any of them are thinking about giving it a try. That way we can possibly get on the same server and play together.

And besides, WHY would they have announced all the changes that they were making to jobs, less than a year ago I might add, when they KNEW they were going to be announcing a new MMO, IF they were only going to half-ass some new content?

I, for one, am super duper excited about new content, and YES the Northlands are going to be awesome, and I would love to finish the WotG storyline!

And I would Hope for some new Avatars and some changes to BLM job abilities, and overall just new stuff is super exciting!

    YES !!!! YES !!!!

More WotG FTW !!! More medals FTW !!! More past lands to explore FTW !!!

    ~~Wish list~~

An enticing (and EPIC) reward for people to actually do/finish WotG... I really was enjoying the CS's and can't find anyone very interested in continuing the story w/o a foresee-able reward. Pretty sure I'd need to transfer servers to do any of the campaign missions for any of that awesome gear.

More shinies to spend my Campaign ducats on... . And a COMPLETE OVERHAUL from SE GIMP'n CAMPAIGN. Seriously, they need to make it worthwile to invade the Beastmen controlled zones. I don't care if they leave forts as worthless but at least give us something to compensate... I seeing a whole bunch of mobs Warp away 5min after the campaign battle begins leaving only worthless Forts for me to glare at before I turn in my tags to maybe break even on the teleport out there and back home.

Some additional content for the original joblines would be pretty cool. My main is Dnc and that job (done right) is already pretty epic so I couldn't really wish for more on that. Sam is already crazy broken too... my next up job is Thf so I'd love some new content/abilities for the original jobs. I'm really enjoying my Thf of late, so additional abilities would be very surprising and very welcome.

If SE feels Dnc needs something... A two handed weapon for Dancers would be neat to check out... lol... {Hasso} {Can I have it} (^_^)d

Wha? I never meant to make anyone feel "owned" and if I did then I'm sorry O.o

I mean yea, /Dnc is the only sub that can make Retaliate useful and I completely forgot all about it so really it's my mistake. It's also the only "useful" War sub I never fully leveled...I should seeing as it helps all melee jobs...but I just don't like dancing ._.

Why? They've been working on FFXIV for years and it's production has had no negative effect on FFXI in the least. The announcement of a new MMO, something we *knew* was coming for years doesn't mean they're going to suddenly half ass FFXI. Both teams are completely independent and have always been so.

Ahhhh yes.... I'd bring back WAR/MNK just for the fun of it if we could do that. Then we'd have both retaliation, counter, and some DEF. A better defensive JA would also fix /SAM a bit just in case your Third Eye wears off a little early you'll be able to Retaliate and have a bit of defense to stop the bleeding for a bit until Third Eye gets back up.

Thfs do have something like that. It's a merit JA that usually sits on a 15 minute timer because Feint and Aura steal are better abilities in the long run.

Speaking of Warrior's Charge, I need to finish meriting that.
As a War and a Thf, I can honestly say the "Charge" abilities aren't all that great. Wars can just max it because they really have nothing else to max in G2.

Except Retaliation means you're taking dmg and burning MP. As an ability on it's own it's not that great because it only increases our dmg output and tp if we're consistently taking dmg. And if we're consistently taking dmg it means the tank isn't tanking. It's nice for merit pts and such where mobs are too weak to matter, but for everything else, it's not really an asset.

Edit: And getting in spirit with the "I wanna see" topic, two adjustments I would like to see would be a defensive JA for war that can work well with Retaliate, maybe a Dmg redux ability so we can get hit and not bleed the mages MP. And some sort of short recast support ability for thf, maybe aTP reset or Stun like hit that can stack with Sa or Ta. Or some new hate manipulating tool to work with TA and Collab/Accomplice. Mainly cause they're the two jobs I play most and I like new shineys.

And of course new avatars, medals, zones yadda yadda.

After the WHM update I'm not sure what else I would be on my wish list for an update. Maybe some new gear that WHMs can actually use? I've been trying to find a decent head piece for WHM for a while. Yigit and Goliard aren't available to me due to not having an Assault/Nyzul perma and the Walmart urban will take a long time to get with just getting IS from beseiged.

So I guess my wishlist is:

    • New gear for WHMs to play with. It's getting a bit alloying seeing lots of awesome mage gear coming out with each update but all of it is only useful to RDM or BLM.
    • Maybe a BLM update? Something that will make them more attractive to parties at 50+ since I can't stand soloing on that job. I'd level SCH instead but I'm too lazy to level RDM as a sub.
    • A continuation on the pop item NM system. I like not having to constantly camp and try to claim against demo's claim bots. That or camping a mob continuoisly for 8 hours for someone only for them to go AFK during the claim window and yell at me for losing the claim.
    • An incentive for people to actually finish both Zilart and the WoTG missions. I've been stuck on the last bloody Zilart mission for months because as soon as they get Sky most people stop caring about Zilart. Same thing with WoTG. It's really hard to find people willing to help out with the battlefield missions either because they're too lazy to repeat quests or are too greedy to do soemthing that doesn't have a reward.
