      Just a quick question, while reading the replies, I got confused by one thing in particular. Now, when I read the "this bonus only applies to EM or lower" I interpreted that it was saying this in regards to the added evasion/defense, but not to all the bonuses that the signet will give, since it was only listed under that specific bonus. So, if a duo fought a T monster, they would still get the 25% bonus from the signet, but they wouldn't be given the added evasion/defense bonus. Is this correct, or is my interpretation wrong??

          Maybe if there were an additional job ability that would assist the strenght and accuracy of the pet or even share buffs, that would be helpful both in solo and party I would think.
          I personally would love to work more often with Bsts in parties. The reason I get angry at the whiners of the bunch is simply, I feel for them already, I don't need to get it forcefully pounded in my head. It's like a kid who lost his arm in a tragic car accident. Yeah you feel for him, but after the 9000th time he's cried about it, it'll get on your nerves.
          Ok, Maybe I do got one.
          Alot of the emphasis of BSTs is their bond with their pet, and how much their strenght's work off of each other. So why not have a JA that would balance the TP pool between the two. Maybe call it "Pack Rage"
          Consider that your Sic ability is limited to it's timer, Pack Rage can help you put their tp to better use by sharing it, much in the way the Drg 2hr provides a TP bonus to the DRG, but something more scaled down.
          I donno, just brain storming here.
          I don't play the job, so I'll ask the BSTs: without focusing it directly on soloing aspect, what would be a good pet orientated JA that would help you assist your preformance, both in and out of party?
          Actually i never figured out why release just didnt send the pets back to there spawn area in a passive state. Instead that coded it to count to 10 disappear, count to 30 an reappear in its spawn location. I mean over the year they could have figured something out better then what they did.

          There are a ton of things players came up with to help bst out. Alot of talk went around fixing the mpk patch, The other thing we tended to all agree on revolves around our jugpets, An the fact they are weak, to costly, duration is laughable.

          The 3rd thing we all had issues with was having a pet with 40 sic abilities an it using whatever it felt like.. Most times it used AoE in situations that we couldnt afford it.. Thats atleast what happened to me alot..

          Not really to sure on how to fix Bst for pts though. Since alot of it would be ripping off other classes ingame. We do have a few job abilties we can learn with points, but most bst use it all in affinity.. Really youd think Bst would have some form of a bloodpact with its pets, or a spirit bond with them. Maybe go in that route. but i dunno..

          Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

            It's a little bland (just another DD, plus a DD pet), but whenever I parse them, the ones using the correct jug pets usually come out be some the best damage dealers in parties when the pets' damage are factored in.

              Because people would have filters on pets. Or only look at the BST him/herself and ignore what the pet does. BST and PUP are over looked as DDs because of this and not totaling their pet dmg together.

                Thats exactly why, Because for some odd reason the player base only want to take into account wyvern damage, an avatar damage. Then when Bst an Pup come into the group, Its always omfg i outdamaged a bst an pup. Then when you ask if they took into account my jugpet, They usually exclaim that dont count.. Which i always exclaim Bst = two for the price of one..

                I dunno but i think the Bst being able to pick there own Sic might make them better for solo play as well as party play. As well as making them in some way shape or form be able to use a sic to burst. Drgs do it, An Smn do it, Why cant a Bst (sorry dont know if pup can do it or not)

                Wheres the bond a Beastmaster is suppose to have with all living creatures. The Drgs have it, The Smn have. Why dont the Beastmasters have it.. ( i left out Pup because i have no clue if they have it)

                  I like the adjustments overall even though I don't benifit from them (job specific of course the other affect everyone.) Congratulations DRK, I am looking forward to seeing what the player base uses these for.

                  Signet updates are much needed yet I am also confused about them (what they work on.) If they work on everything (ep-it) then things will get even better when duoing Snolls as a SMN ^^! Though to really equal out the non-ToAU areas with the middle lands SE should give a few optional choices to signet, as well as adding some new items that can be obtained. I was thinking the signet ability that reduces how much exp you lose, and maybe one that increases healing hp/mp (hp has been covered now.)

                  Off of the topic there have been alot of valid points and issues brought up in this post, how many of them have made their way to the ask SE forum?

                      Sea is an admission that sky is broken. RMT don't dominate sea because they can't - practically everything drops a trigger. Do that for sky and you've fixed it.
                      Well, what's the other key difference between Sky and Sea? Sea HNM/gods, whatever you call them, drop rare/ex items. You can darn well bet I'd rather buy a Love Gorget rather than try to get a LS together that could handle him and his low drop rate, AND have blm ready to escape if AV pops, or whm ready to teleport if you can't escape in that zone.

                      I can't find it, but I know you said earlier that other aspect of the game should have gotten updates first rather than windower/other stuff, while I kind of agree with you, I also think that SE will get there. It really looks like SE might be changing with the recent burst of updates, and remember they have what, a 3 month update cycle normally? It's really not that long to the next round of updates.

                      I agree, beyond increased jub pet duration, bst/nin + pet = sick. Almost, if not the same, damage output as a war/nin, plus their pet. And while he may not be uncapped like Courier Carrie, that Tiger pet you bst get does more damage than my wyvern does, I think it attacks faster, and it has nasty TP attacks.

                      A well geared for DD bst is an awesome sight to behold and I love having them in my parties.

                      Puppet Masters I don't know much about. It sounds like it is more what attachments/setup you have your automaton using that really benefits the party. The entire mpless Flash is pretty cool just by itself.

                      I never thought that the bsts had a bond with all living creatures, I thought it was more seducing the mobs to do your evil bidding (hey, you shoot little pink hearts at them)

                            That is an absurd reason for asking changes to BST for party situation.

                            If BST is already powerful, making it better is silly, regardless whether 5% of people know that or 95% of people know that.

                              Yeah I love this biggest issue I had as a Blu was having to rest MP when I had over 100% TP gauge. This will make it sooo much easier on me.

                                An if im not mistaken, Wasnt it S.E who said they wanted to make Bst more appealing to parties..-

                                An how is Bst powerful, Because we can solo mobs most players cant even begin to imagine. This to you is overpower? To someone whos played the job for far to long. I can tell you this is our greatest flaw. We live an die by the mobs we charm, But what if we fail a charm, Yeah you guessed it, 7 out of 10 times we die a brutal death, Then theres the little issue of Mobs goin yellow on pet swaps an leave. Thus making us the most easiest class to steal anything away from..
