tbh, the heart is probably *the* best phase to use it in because if you don't kill it fast enough it's an auto-loss, same as with Ifrit's Pillars or Garuda's Plumes. With only 4 people and him trapping 1 of them, it can get bad fast.

You never waste the LB on Garuda's Plumes. You only need to kill the Satin Plume and the rest vanish when she stops rotating the Tornadoes. You are best saving it for a Clones Phase. A Lv2 LB from a BLM is enough to one shot them both. Before the "Reckoning Phase", a pair of BLMs or BLM/DRG duo can one shot the plumes between them, especially with Flaming Arrow support.

And for Ifrit a BLM can one shot the Nails with a Lv3 LB. My record is a 12k Hit with Foe's Requiem and Raging Strikes up.

As for Titan, you don't need the LB on the Heart Phase. Actually that is the absolute WORST phase to use the LB on for Titan (especially since it will likely get the DD who uses it killed if your timing sucks). You are better saving it until later in the fight. Lv3 LB from a Healer can help out a lot. Plus a Lv3 LB from a Tank can really help out with the Stomps.

If you needed a LB for the heart then you do NOT have enough DPS to kill him before the stomps overwhelm the healers. The Heart and Pre-Heart is easy and is there to make sure that everyone has decent gear (Garuda Weapon, Mix of Darklight, Melded and AK gear, enough Vit to pass 3.5k HP for the Post-Heart Fun) and can learn how to follow a pretty simple pattern. Post-Heart is when the real fight begins. Titan's Stomp mechanic Post-Heart might as well be considered a soft enrage. Good luck getting a Mage to survive 6-7 Stomps because some idiot DD used the LB on the Heart.

Seriously, I can't state this enough, if you needed to LB the Heart, your group never had the Damage to clear the fight.

Oh, a damaging limit break would be great in that phase, I'm just not the one to do it. Bard's LB's are healing, not damaging. I was just laughing at being called an idiot when he didn't know what he was asking.
I ended up taking a break after that particular group. Came back an hour later and had the exact same healer and tank. They were both much nicer that go around and I think it only took 2 or 3 attempts at most. Only because I think the healer took a couple knockbacks off the ledge.

That's another peeve of mine. Archers become a support class, and that's their only option.

To add, not a fan of ice blue graphics laid over a snow white ground, kinda difficult to see readily.

^ This. I find it easier if you gather in the center, but the aerial bombardment tend to make it messy towards the end. I don't think there ever was a time that no one got hit by his breath attack.

it's a huge dragon, and every so often would fly in the air, and run breath attacks that can soak half of the map. After the 2nd time, he also targets the ground with some damaging attacks.

To add, not a fan of ice blue graphics laid over a snow white ground, kinda difficult to see readily.

Not Qarn, Stone Vigil ... I don't know if you remember the last boss in Stone Vigil, but it's a huge dragon, and every so often would fly in the air, and run breath attacks that can soak half of the map. After the 2nd time, he also targets the ground with some damaging attacks.

I've still never done a limit break. From what i understand only 1 person can use it in the party and then it's done. I would think there would be a gameplan on when to use the limit break and what exactly you'd be using it for. It doesn't seem like it would really be an unexpected use type of deal. But then again, I've never used it so I'm not really sure.

Helps in a pinch .. I had an Aussie pug who had horrendous latency on the last boss of Stone Vigil, so on one of the last times the dragon took off, I used LB to boost damage mitigation of everyone, and that helped the pug to live through a breath attack that would otherwise kill him.

Pugging in the duty finder is killing me. Its why I'm putting off story line Garuda and doing Darkhold for the grand company quest. Titan was a nightmare that at one point had the tank and healer calling me an idiot for not using my limit break to damage Titan's heart (I'm a bard, I'll leave it at that). So ready for server changes so I can get somewhere with people I'm comfortable with and start doing some more organized runs.

Not a troll ... it's essentially a counter-shout to all the elitism going-on in the game. I don't think having the best gear compensates for lack of ability. I don't think impatience and snapping at players, especially new ones, help to make them any better. And I definitely do not believe in forming Dream Teams in this game because let's face it, there is no "world first", "server first" and no one can really prove who is legitimate or not (you posted that thread with the instant level 50 crafting ... I'm going to say that there's quite a bit of multi-50 non-legacy players that used the same or similar exploits/hack)
