That moment when you farm for 2 hours in Northern Thanalan only for your FC to remind you that no atma drops there...

When you're a caster in PvP and a Paladin gets within melee range

I still hate it, grates on my nerves. Like retarded scary clown music.

    The scenes are hysterical though

My friends and I love the music for the last boss on Brayflox. I agree with Firewind, the added tension adds to the ambience. The cutscenes were in deed funny as get all.

I actually like the new boss themes. We finally get a theme with the feeling of "Okay this is going to be tense". If I'm honest I didn't like the second boss of Brayflox HM, it was just a redo of the TTR and Brayflox SM final bosses but even easier. The final boss was a lot of fun though, the cutscenes were hilarious, the music is great, and it actually gives BLMs a reason to put Blizzard II back on the hotbar.

I just hate the music. Both the dungeon and the last boss especially (1st 2 bosses are cool though).

Thankfully it's a very short run with a competent group. I actually like City best out of the 3, though Diabolos can be somewhat annoying unless ppl are smart about the doors.

I really like Brayflox. The first boss reminds me a lot fo playing Bomberman. It's just that first pick sums up your average BLM well in there.

And with Brayflox to practise dodging, there are still people that die in Titan Extreme before the heart.

Brayflox HM isn't bad with a pre-made group. It goes south in the ole roulette, however. Maybe cause I run it during the time that I do, I've been lucky solo queued.

My reaction to having Brayflox HM pop yet again when queued as Black Mage:

When you join a Titan EM group and find out it can't even get past the Heart

When you realise you already have the zone's Atma

Got my shiny lance this morning after getting 5 Atma in the span of an hour and a half. Still hate that shit.

And the 1500 myth is honestly excessive. 500~750 would be just fine quite frankly given there are NINE of the damn things and each with a bunch of objectives. There's really no reason to cockblock so much for a weapon that as of the moment isn't even BiS. The NPC says that they are the most powerful in existence, but whether or not the devs will make good on that remains to be seen.

Oh well, at least I know my lance is apparently growing in strength by feasting on the souls of those I slay with it.

Doesn't sound terribly heroic does it lol?

My static healer said that a paladin came into a FATE with just 3 seconds left, hit a mob and then nearly orgasm'd as he got his first Atma shard. She got her 3rd one in virtually the same fashion and she didn't get a gold rating.

I didn't respond to you only, but to Mal and everyone else as well, so don't take anything I said personally. I understand that everyone wants to cut their teeth on fresh content and I don't blame you as that's what we're all paying for every month. But sometimes we can forget that there are other, less progressed players, and for them, even slightly older content might be fresh, new and still exciting. We can become so engrossed in whatever that we're doing or trying to accomplish that it can carry on negatively into dungeons or other areas of interactivity and may not be a good experience for those other players. I see this every time I'm in queue. Luckily for me, I am well attuned to nuances, so that if I have a PUG of overgeared players, we'll do the run their way. But if I am with newer players, I will slow down, let them enjoy the game at their pace, and then move on.

    2. It takes a few Brayflox runs to cap Soldiery. That shit can be done in 20 min a run if you are at ilvl70 and are not retarded. I've done it. I know.
    3. As for the rest of the things here, content wasn't meant to be consumed in one week, so I'll leave it there.
    4. Myth - do your daily Main Story roulette, that is still 80 myth not to pass up. Dailies don't give as much Myths, but if you want Venture Coins and faction mounts, you're going to do it anyway. Brayflox speed run groups are forming all over, just check party finder.

    2. Yeah the rant about Soldiery came before I found out how lucrative farming the new three dungeons are. All three are fun as hell, though Halatali is a bit of a snoozefest on SCH since there's next to no tank damage in that dungeon. It's really fun as a DD though.
    3. The complaints aren't coming from it taking a long time to get a Relic Animus. A lot of people like that the Second Phase (13.5k Myth) will take a while but can done at your own pace, and in your own way. What people dislike is that the Atma farm is purely RNG. There is no clear goal because there is no way to know if the next one will drop. The grind isn't challenging and it provided no new content. Contrast Phase 2 where if I really want to, I can grind out those 13.5k Myth Tomes by only doing the most challenging dungeons if I want, and I have a clear progression and know that I will get there eventually, rather when the game arbitrarily decided to say I can progress.
    4. T4 of Coil is great for Myth Farming too. Each run only takes 10 mins and you get 20 per run. Basically you get 100/hour plus all of the iLv90 gear. T4 is a pretty fun and simple fight once you learn the kill order, when and where the mobs will spawn, and actually bother to bring a Black Mage.

12 in total, 1 per zone listed in the quest.

Upper and Lower La Noscea are driving me to tears. I'm glad my sub's gonna run out in 2 weeks. When I looked at the initial patch notes, it seemed as though the game was finally starting to go in the right direction. Instead it's only gotten worse, as I said before running to the opposite extreme. There's a reason I don't play Korean MMOs, and XIV is turning into one. I would like to state a few things though:

I actually never had an issue with XI's loot system. I genuinely miss loot tables on NMs vs just coffers (actually I would argue coffers like in CT are worse than say farming mobs in Dynamis where everything can drop something) and always felt that XI's biggest problem was that stuff was just too RNG heavy; had they reduced the grind sooner and not employed sub 5% (even sub 1% in cases like K-Club) drop rates things would have been dramatically different. Maybe it was just a different time, idk, but for the most part (barring a few horrid things like dio farming which again, RNG more than anythign ruining that) doing content to help others wasn't that bad since the content itself was fun. Gear was kind of a bonus since there were so many options, and content was locked behind skill/story progression rather than arbitrary gear walls.

As for the roulette btw, they've said they intend to allow you to do it in pre-made groups. It was in the last live letter Q&A. They're having problems getting it to work right atm, but are hoping to have it ready for 2.3

And speaking of XI, despite ARR's much higher production values XI *still* has far superior story telling and atmosphere as far as I'm concerned. I really don't give 2 shits about The Scions. Like, at all. I'm far more interested in Nael & Louisoix, as well as the Ascians. We still don't really know too much about the Empire or the Allagans either. The Zilart influence is pretty apparent in all this, but they're not really playing that up as well as they could be. I'm hoping the expansion will make things more interesting. It could just be that I'm biased, but overall I feel like Vana'diel is the superior realm.
