    I'd be happy if they made them heavy 1-shot nukers with huge casting times like they did with Tactics and a few other games. Give them to us like spells and allow us to use them for huge costs with a wide range of abilities.

    I doubt they will... but as long as they don't do the same thing as 11, I'll be happy to try something new regardless.

      For the record I'd be happy if SMN didn't appear at all this time around unless it worked more like GF Junction. In XI you have no idea how many times I wished Karaha Baruha had been the only one.

      As for RDM pretty much what Mal said, the job makes more sense in XIV than it ever did in XI. And it will be awesome.

        Treat SMN like it's always been - the crisis-mode button. What they could do, is you can have the avatar out as a pet, but the instant you use one if it's abilities it goes away and expends a tremendous amount of MP. That was another piece of the problem in XI with buffing them too much, because they already took half damage and all the hate.

        Or we could just give up having them as pets altogether. I'd be a little sad at that, but I'd much rather have my summons actually be useful and play a more traditional styled SMN instead of having loltastic gimps as pets.

          Well you know at first I was pretty skeptical about how they were going to introduce an eastern-culture job into the current FFXIV lore...but I'm going to presume they pulled it off (or, out of their asses) somehow with the monk. That gives me some assurance that they'll likely consider adding Samurai, Ninja/Assassin to the mix at some point in 2.0. Well....truth is, I'd really like to see a dual-wield job implemented in this game, I think it would be pretty fun given the battle system. I did not think "stack haste", "auto-attack", "macro-ws" was all too fun in XI now that I look back...but hell, even that got me addicted for years.

            I agree with Hayde, exept for the ninja. NO NINJAS! Especially if they played like they did in XI GAWD... I refused to level that job. lol. I would have rather shot my self in the face than level that job.

            I would love to see Samurai, or even other traditional classes. Like a Viking, One handed axe/shield wielder with chain mail, and can attack or defend. Or, add in a pirate. Some one that uses a sword/gun combo with their attacks, and actually uses BOTH of them, rather than just a gun.

            I would even love to see if they implement a fencer, or a character that uses traps, and evasion over tradional tactics. Like an espionage class. One that goes in, scouts the area, lays traps, and the group goes in after them, the traps enfeeble/harm the mobs.

            Or just maybe Samurai... Yea, Samurai. XD

                Ppl shouldn't think XIV Nin would be same as FFXI Nin. Ya if at least Samurai makes it that would be nice nice, but ninja would make this better!
